fastening the overlying fore-foot strap to the first side of the selected shoe base, and
adjusting the overlying fore-foot strap to determine a second desired length.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the assembling step includes:
shortening the selected overlying fore-foot strap to the second desired length.

9 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising configuring the selected overlying fore-foot strap to overlie at least one of the selected lower fore-foot strap or the selected additional lower fore-foot strap.

10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
providing a second fitting strap; displaying a plurality of support straps; and receiving from the on-site customer a selection of one of the plurality of support straps, wherein the assembling step includes:
fastening the second fitting strap to the bottom face of the selected shoe base, and
adjusting the second fitting strap to determine a third desired length.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the assembling step includes:
fastening the selected support strap to the bottom face of the selected shoe base.

12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the assembling step includes:
shortening the selected support strap to the third desired length.
