Abstract

A surfboard includes a board member for supporting a user and having two depressions formed in the rear portion and the upper portion of the board member and inclined rearwardly from a front end toward a rear end, and having a swelling formed between the depressions of the board member, and a performance enhancing device is formed in an outer side portion of each of the depressions of the board member for enhancing performance and higher directional control, increasing power when exiting a turn and the ability to hold its place higher upon the wave face, reducing sideslip, thereby allowing the board member to be effectively maneuvered or controlled by the user.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A surfboard comprising:
a board member for supporting a user and including a front portion and a rear portion, and including an upper portion and a lower portion, and including two depressions formed in said rear portion and said lower portion of said board member and inclined rearwardly from a front end toward a rear end of said depressions of said board member, and including a swelling formed between said depressions of said board member, and including a performance enhancing device formed in an outer side portion of each of said depressions of said board member for enhancing performance and higher directional control, increasing power when exiting a turn and enabling the board to hold its place higher upon the wave face, reducing sideslip.

2 . The surfboard as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said swelling includes a lower portion flush with said lower portion of said board member, and includes a wider front portion and a narrower rear portion.

3 . The surfboard as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said swelling includes two curved side portions.

4 . The surfboard as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said control performance enhancing devices are downward faces formed in the outer side portions of said depressions of said board member.

5 . The surfboard as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said board member includes a pressure-dispersion plate located between said upper portion and said lower portion and within a peripheral edge, slightly forward of a midpoint of said board member.
