Camera For Capturing And Printing Images

Abstract

A camera for capturing and printing an images is provided. The camer has an image sensor for capturing an image, and a printer for printing onto a page of media an interface comprising the captured image and coded data. Each page has an associated identity. The coded data is printed on the page to be indicative of the identity of that page and an identity of the image printed on that page.

1 . A camera for capturing and printing images comprising:
 an image sensor for capturing an image; and   a printer for printing onto a page of media an interface comprising the captured image and coded data, each page having an associated identity, the coded data being printed on the page to be indicative of the identity of that page and an identity of the image printed on that page.   
   
   
       2 . A camera according to  claim 1 , wherein the coded data includes a plurality of tags. 
   
   
       3 . A camera according to  claim 2 , wherein the printer comprises a tag generator configured to generate the tags. 
   
   
       4 . A camera according to  claim 3 , wherein the tag generator is configured to ascertain a position of each tag prior to printing of the interface, the respective positions being determined on the basis of a layout. 
   
   
       5 . A camera according to  claim 2 , wherein the tags are printed on the page within a tessellated pattern comprising a plurality of tiles, each of the tiles containing a plurality of the tags. 
   
   
       6 . A camera according to  claim 5 , wherein the tiles interlock each other to substantially cover the page. 
   
   
       7 . A camera according to  claim 1 , wherein the coded data is printed over the page in a replicated fashion. 
   
   
       8 . A camera according to  claim 1 , wherein the coded data is printed over substantially the entire page. 
   
   
       9 . A camera according to  claim 1 , wherein the coded data is printed over the page such that the identity of the image can be determined from a portion of the surface of at least 2 cm in diameter.
