A device for attaching to a wedge striking surface, comprising a detachable putter head, wherein said detachable putter head includes a putter striking surface and an attaching surface, wherein said attaching surface is for attaching to the wedge striking surface, wherein said attaching surface is at an angle in the range from 45 to 60 degrees with respect to said putter striking surface.
. A device as recited in claim 1 , wherein said angle is about 55 degrees.
. A device as recited in claim 1 , further comprising a magnet, wherein said attaching surface is for attaching to the wedge striking surface with said magnet.
. A device as recited in claim 3 , wherein said attaching surface includes said magnet.
. A device as recited in claim 4 , wherein said attaching surface includes a plurality of magnets.
. A device as recited in claim 5 , wherein said attaching surface includes a first magnet and a second magnet, wherein said first magnet is larger than said second magnet.
. A device as recited in claim 1 , wherein said wedge striking surface has an area, wherein said attaching surface covers at least 40% of said area when said detachable putter head is mounted to the wedge striking surface.
. A device as recited in claim 1 , wherein said detachable putter head includes a plastic portion.
. A device as recited in claim 8 , wherein said plastic portion includes polycarbonate.
. A device as recited in claim 1 , wherein said putter striking surface includes a metal portion.
. A device as recited in claim 10 , wherein said metal includes one from the group consisting of aluminum, stainless steel, brass, titanium, and alloys.
. A device as recited in claim 10 , wherein said detachable putter head includes a plastic portion, wherein said metal portion is adhesively attached to said plastic portion.
. A device as recited in claim 10 , wherein said detachable putter head is fabricated entirely of a metal.
. A device as recited in claim 1 , wherein the wedge has a leading edge, wherein said detachable putter head further comprises a skid stop, wherein said skid stop contacts the wedge leading edge and wherein said detachable putter head is held in position against the wedge leading edge.
. A device as recited in claim 14 , wherein said skid stop has two points of contact with the wedge leading edge.
. A golf wedge comprising a wedge club and a detachable putter head, wherein said detachable putter head includes a putter striking surface and an attaching surface, wherein said wedge club includes a wedge striking surface, wherein said attaching surface is for attaching to the wedge striking surface, wherein said attaching surface is at an angle in the range from 45 to 60 degrees with respect to said putter striking surface.
. A method of playing golf, comprising:
a. providing a wedge and a detachable putter head, wherein said wedge includes a wedge striking surface; b. attaching the detachable putter head to the wedge striking surface; and c. using the wedge to putt.
. A method as recited in claim 17 , wherein said attaching is with a magnet.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
