Claims

Abstract

There is provided a shaped, binderless catalyst comprising titanosilicate TS-1 and TS-1 precursors; wherein the catalyst is shaped into particles with a defined cross sectional diameter. There is provided a shaped, binderless catalyst, comprising sufficient moisture to retain a desired shape and comprising at least 95 weight percent titanosilicate TS-1 and titanosilicate TS-1 precursors. There is also provided a crystalline titanosilicate zeolite TS-1, having a) shaped, binderless particles with a defined cross sectional diameter, and b) a crystallite size of less than 0.2 micron.

1 . A shaped, binderless catalyst comprising titanosilicate TS-1 and titanosilicate TS-1 precursors, wherein the catalyst is shaped into particles having a cross sectional diameter between about 1/32 inch and about ½ inch. 
   
   
       2 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 1 , wherein the particles have a cross sectional diameter between about 1/32 inch and about ¼ inch. 
   
   
       3 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 1 , wherein the particles have a cross sectional diameter between about 1/64 inch and about ½ inch. 
   
   
       4 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 1 , wherein the particles have a cross sectional diameter between about 1/64 inch and about ¼ inch. 
   
   
       5 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 1 , wherein the particles are spherical or cylindrical. 
   
   
       6 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 1 , comprising at least 95 weight percent combined titanosilicate TS-1 and titanosilicate TS-1 precursors. 
   
   
       7 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 1 , comprising essentially all titanosilicate TS-1 and no titanosilicate TS-1 precursors. 
   
   
       8 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 1 , wherein the titanosilicate TS-1 has a crystallite size of less than 0.2 micron. 
   
   
       9 . A shaped, binderless catalyst, comprising sufficient moisture to retain a desired shape and comprising at least 95 weight percent combined titanosilicate TS-1 and titanosilicate TS-1 precursors; wherein the desired shape is in the form of extrudates, cylinders, spheres, granules, agglomerates, or prills. 
   
   
       10 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 9 , wherein said desired shape is spherical or cylindrical. 
   
   
       11 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 9 , wherein the desired shape is particles having a cross sectional diameter between about 1/64 inch and about ½ inch. 
   
   
       12 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 9 , comprising essentially all titanosilicate TS-1 and no titanosilicate TS-1 precursors. 
   
   
       13 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 9 , wherein the titanosilicate TS-1 has a crystallite size of less than 0.2 micron. 
   
   
       14 . The shaped, binderless catalyst of  claim 9 , wherein the titanosilicate TS-1 is free of aluminum. 
   
   
       15 . A crystalline titanosilicate zeolite TS-1, having:
 a. shaped, binderless particles with a cross sectional diameter between about 1/32 inch and about ½ inch;   b. a crystallite size of less than 0.2 micron.   
   
   
       16 . The crystalline titanosilicate zeolite TS-1 of  claim 15 , wherein the zeolite is free of aluminum. 
   
   
       17 . The crystalline titanosilicate zeolite TS-1 of  claim 15 , wherein the particles have a cross sectional diameter between about ⅙ inch and about ½ inch. 
   
   
       18 . The crystalline titanosilicate zeolite TS-1 of  claim 17 , wherein the particles have a cross sectional diameter between about 1/64 inch and about ¼ inch. 
   
   
       19 . The crystalline titanosilicate zeolite TS-1 of  claim 15 , wherein the particles comprise sufficient moisture to retain a desired shape. 
   
   
       20 . The crystalline titanosilicate zeolite TS-1 of  claim 15 , where the desired shape is in the form of extrudates, cylinders, spheres, granules, agglomerates, or prills.
