Abstract

A novelty apparel item generally includes a perspiration barrier having a moisture resistant, skin compatible adhesive on one of its surface areas that facilitates attaching the pocket construction to a desired skin area of a user and a water resistant adhesive on opposite one of its surfaces that facilitates securing a pouch to the perspiration barrier, whereby the contents of the pocket remain dry under heavy perpetrating or even submersion under water.

       10 . A method of pocket construction, comprising:
 providing a pouch;   providing a perspiration barrier having a skin compatible adhesive on one of its surface areas and a water resistant adhesive on opposite one of its surfaces; and   securing said pouch to said perspiration barrier.   
   
   
       11 . The method of pocket construction according to  claim 10 , wherein said step of providing a pouch includes providing a transparent window in an outer wail portion of said pouch to facilitate pouch content viewing purposes. 
   
   
       12 . The method of pocket construction according to  claim 10 , wherein said step of providing a pouch includes providing said pouch with a closure flap. 
   
   
       13 . The method of pocket construction according to  claim 12 , wherein the step of providing a closure flap, including providing a fastener on said flap.

       21 . A method of pocket construction, comprising:
 providing a perspiration barrier, wherein said perspiration barrier includes:   two strips of polyurethane backing wherein one of said two strips of polyurethane backing is coated on one of its surfaces with an acrylic adhesive ( 24 ),   covering said acrylic adhesive ( 24 ) with a protective peel sheet to protect said acrylic adhesive until it is ready for bonding to the skin of a user; and   wherein the other one of said two strips of polyurethane backing is sandwiched between two adhesive layers of substantially different types of adhesives;   wherein one of the two adhesive layers is a an extremely high peel-bond strength adhesive with a high temperature tolerance;   covering said high peel-bond strength adhesive with a protective peel sheet to protect said high peel-bond strength adhesive until it is ready for bonding to a pocket surface;   wherein the other one of the two adhesives is an acrylate adhesive;   providing a pouch;   removing the protective peel sheet from said high peel-bond strength adhesive; and   securing said pouch to the uncovered high peel-bond strength adhesive.
