Abstract

In a method for fitting a floor covering ( 6 ) to a floor ( 1 ), slits ( 4 ) are made in the old floor covering ( 2 ), adhesive ( 5 ) is introduced into the slits ( 4 ), the new floor covering ( 6 ) is applied and the new floor covering ( 6 ) is bonded to the floor ( 1 ).

1 . A method for fitting a floor covering to a floor, comprising
 the making of slits in the old floor coverings,   the introduction of adhesive into the slits,   the application of the new floor covering and the bonding of the new floor covering to the floor.   
   
   
       2 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the slits are made down to the floor.   
   
   
       3 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein
 a mat is arranged between the old floor covering and the new floor covering.   
   
   
       4 . A floor covering produced according to the method in accordance with  claim 1 . 
   
   
       5 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein
 a mat is arranged between the old floor covering and the new floor covering.   
   
   
       6 . A floor covering produced according to the method in accordance with  claim 2 . 
   
   
       7 . A floor covering produced according to the method in accordance with  claim 3 . 
   
   
       8 . A floor covering produced according to the method in accordance with  claim 5 .
