Fuel system and process for its production
Abstract
The present invention relates to a fuel system and to a process for the production of such a fuel system. The fuel system according to the present invention shows a content of fossil carbon which is clearly reduced compared to that of fossil fuels while the fuel-technological properties are the same. Thus the emission of the carbon dioxide based on fossil carbon is notably reduced during the use of the fuel system according to the invention. In one embodiment of the process according to the invention, the fuel system according to the invention is provided consisting of at least two different fossil regular fuels and at least one biogenic carbon donor, with biomasses serving as a biogenic carbon donor.

2 . The fuel system according to claim 1 , wherein this system is comprised of a mixture of at least two different fossil regular fuels and at least one biogenic carbon donor.
3 . The fuel system according to claim 2 , wherein this system includes brown coal, black coal and/or anthracite as a fossil regular fuel.
4 . The fuel system according to claim 3 , wherein this system includes biomass as a biogenic carbon donor.
5 . The fuel system according to claim 4 , wherein the system includes as a biogenic carbon donor at least one regrowable raw material from the group consisting of wood, natural fiber, vegetable oils, alcohol, sugar, starch, dried vegetables and cereals.
6 . A fuel system according to claim 5 , wherein the system includes a refinement product from the group consisting of coke, petroleum coke, brown coal coke and charcoal.
7 . A fuel system according to claim 6 , wherein the system includes a fraction of biogenic carbon carriers of at least 20% by weight, referred to the total mass.
8 . The fuel system according to claim 7 , wherein this system includes an effective content of fossil carbon which compared to fossil fuels is reduced by at least 11% concerning the calorific value, with the percentage of fossil carbon being put in relation to the calorific value for calculating the effective content of fossil carbon.
9 . A process for producing a fuel system comprising the steps of:
1) selecting a first fossil regular fuel having a low content of volatile matters, a second fossil regular fuel having a medium content of volatile matters, and a biogenic carbon carrier; 2) mixing the first fossil regular fuel with the second fossil regular fuel; 3) mixing the mixture obtained in step 2 with the biogenic carbon carrier; wherein the fossil regular fuels and the biogenic carbon carrier are selected so that the obtained fuel system meets the requirements of a regular fuel at least concerning its properties like ash content, volatile matters and calorific value.
10 . The process according to claim 9 , wherein at least 20% by weight referred to the total mass of biogenic carbon carrier are admixed in step 3.
11 . The process according to claim 10 , wherein the first regular fuel includes a volatile water and ash-free fraction (waf) ≦10% by weight.
12 . The process according to claim 11 , wherein the first regular fuel is selected from the group consisting of anthracite and lean coal.
13 . The process according to claim 11 , wherein the second regular fuel includes a volatile water and ash-free fraction (waf) between >10% by weight and ≦40% by weight.
14 . The process according to claim 13 , wherein the second regular fuel is selected from the group consisting of forge coal, fat coal, gas coal, long-flame coal, bituminous coal, pre-dried black lignite and pre-dried dull brown coal.
15 . The process according to claim 14 , wherein a substantially solid biomass, preferably wood, wood pellets, wood chips, natural fibers, cereals, sugar or dried vegetables are admixed as a biogenic carbon carrier.
16 . The process according to claim 15 , wherein the substantially solid biomass before admixing is impregnated with a substantially liquid biogenic carbon carrier, preferably vegetable oil, vegetable fat and/or alcohol.
17 . The process according to claim 16 , wherein prior to admixing the biogenic carbon carrier, a refinement product from the group consisting of coke, petroleum coke, brown coal coke and charcoal is admixed to the mixture obtained in step 2.
18 . The process according to claim 17 , wherein a substantially dust or powder-like substrate, preferably saw dust, legume shred or coal dust are admixed to the mixture obtained in step 2 and/or in step 3.
