Rug display system

Abstract

A rug clip for use in a rug display system includes a gripping member having first gripping elements, a biasing member having second gripping elements overlying at least a portion of the gripping member and a clamping member overlying at least a portion of the biasing member.

       21 . A rug display system for use on a display surface, said system comprising:
 a base configured to be supported on said display surface;   a frame comprising front and top sections,   wherein at least a portion of said frame is rotatably mounted to said base;   a front support member secured to said frame adjacent to said front section and configured to movably support said frame on said display surface; and   at least one clip secured to said frame and including a top leg and a bottom leg biased toward said top leg, wherein said bottom leg comprises a plurality of teeth and said top leg comprises a surface biased against said plurality of teeth of said bottom leg, said surface lacking a plurality of teeth, such that when a rug is secured in said clip, said rug can be removed by pulling said rug toward said top leg surface and away from said plurality of teeth of said bottom leg.   
   
   
       22 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 21 , wherein said frame is removably secured to said base. 
   
   
       23 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 21 , wherein said clip is removably secured to said frame. 
   
   
       24 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 21 , wherein said base comprises a plurality of upwardly extending posts. 
   
   
       25 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 21 , wherein said rug display system is not mounted to a wall 
   
   
       26 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 21 , wherein said frame is vertically unencumbered, and wherein said front support member comprises a wheel. 
   
   
       27 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 21 , wherein said rug display system is not attached to a surface parallel to said display surface. 
   
   
       28 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 21 , wherein at a upper rear corner of said frame, said frame is unsecured to a horizontal surface opposite said base. 
   
   
       29 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 21 , wherein said clip comprises a channel-shaped bracket including said top leg, said bottom leg, and a connecting member, wherein said connecting member biases said top leg toward said bottom leg. 
   
   
       30 . A frame for use in a rug display system comprising:
 front, bottom and top sections,   wherein at least a portion of said bottom section of said frame is rotatably mounted to a base;   a front support member secured to said frame adjacent to said front section and configured to movably support said frame on said display surface; and   a hole on the frame for securing at least one clip to said frame, the clip including a top leg and a bottom leg biased toward said top leg, wherein said bottom leg comprises a plurality of teeth and said top leg comprises a surface biased against said plurality of teeth of said bottom leg, said surface lacking a plurality of teeth, such that when a rug is secured in said clip, said rug can be removed by pulling said rug toward said top leg surface and away from said plurality of teeth of said bottom leg.   
   
   
       31 . The frame as recited in  claim 30 , wherein said frame is removably secured to said base. 
   
   
       32 . The frame as recited in  claim 30 , wherein said clip is removably secured to said frame. 
   
   
       33 . The frame as recited in  claim 30 , wherein said base comprises a plurality of upwardly extending posts and said frame is secured to one of said plurality of upwardly extending posts. 
   
   
       34 . The frame as recited in  claim 30 , wherein said clip comprises a channel-shaped bracket including said top leg, said bottom leg, and a connecting member, wherein said connecting member biases said top leg toward said bottom leg. 
   
   
       35 . The frame as recited in  claim 30 , wherein said clip is secured to said hole of said frame. 
   
   
       36 . The rug display system as recited in  claim 30 , wherein said frame is vertically unencumbered. 
   
   
       37 . A rug clip for use in a rug display system comprising:
 a top leg; and   a bottom leg biased toward said top leg,   wherein said bottom leg comprises a plurality of teeth and said top leg comprises a surface biased against said plurality of teeth of said bottom leg, said surface lacking a plurality of teeth, such that when a rug is secured in said clip, said rug can be removed by pulling said rug toward said top leg surface and away from said plurality of teeth of said bottom leg.   
   
   
       38 . The clip as recited in  claim 37 , wherein said clip comprises a channel-shaped bracket including said top leg, said bottom leg, and a connecting member, wherein said connecting member biases said top leg toward said bottom leg.

The clip as recited in  claim 37 , a second top leg and a second bottom leg, wherein said second bottom leg comprises a plurality of teeth and said second top leg comprises a surface biased against said plurality of teeth of said second bottom leg, said surface lacking a plurality of teeth, such that when a rug is secured in said clip, said rug can be removed by pulling said rug toward said second top leg surface and away from said plurality of teeth of said second bottom leg.
