Device for the application of compression sleeves

Abstract

In a device for the installation of a compression sleeve around a blood vessel, including a guide element for holding the blood vessel, and a carrier for holding the compression sleeve in a bent-open state in which the carrier and the compression sleeve are supported at the distal end of the installation device, the installation device including a push element for pushing the compression sleeve off the carrier while the blood vessel is disposed in the bent-open compression sleeve so that, upon its release from the carrier, the compression sleeve extends tightly around the blood vessel.

1 . A device for the installation of a compression sleeve ( 6 ) around a blood vessel, comprising
 a guide element ( 4 ) for holding the blood vessel with a U-shaped distal end section including a base and parallel opposite support flanks ( 18 ),   a compression sleeve received in the U-shaped distal end section of the guide element ( 4 ) and having ends held spaced apart elastically by the opposite flanks ( 18 ), and   a push element ( 5 ) arranged in the space between the flanks ( 18 ) at the base of the U-shaped distal end section so as to be axially movable therein,   the compression sleeve ( 6 ) being disposed adjacent the push element and being movable by the push element ( 3 ) off the support flanks ( 18 ) so as to enclose a blood vessel disposed in the U-shaped base between the flanks when the compression sleeve is moved off the flanks ( 18 ) by the push element ( 5 ) in order to surround the blood vessel.
