Abstract
A furniture glide is provided that is mountable on the terminal end of a furniture leg having an outer surface. The furniture glide includes a cup having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a cavity for receiving the furniture leg. Matted material is molded into the outer surface of the cup.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A furniture glide mountable on the terminal end of a furniture leg having an outer surface, comprising:
a base having an upper surface, a lower surface and an outer periphery; a sidewall extending from the outer periphery of the base and having an inner surface defining a cavity for receiving the furniture leg and an outer surface; and matted material molded into the lower surface of the base and the outer surface of the sidewall.
2 . The furniture glide of claim 1 wherein the inner surface of the sidewall intersects the upper surface of the base at an acute angle.
3 . The furniture glide of claim 1 wherein the inner and outer surfaces are generally parallel.
4 . The furniture glide of claim 1 wherein the inner and outer surfaces diverge.
5 . The furniture glide of claim 1 further comprising an adhesive on the upper surface of the base, the adhesive engageable with the terminal end of the furniture leg.
6 . The furniture glide of claim 1 where the sidewall is fabricated from an elastic material.
7 . A furniture glide mountable on the terminal end of a furniture leg having an outer surface, comprising:
a cup having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a cavity for receiving the furniture leg; and matted material molded into the outer surface of the cup.
8 . The furniture glide of claim 7 wherein the cup includes:
a base portion having an upper surface, a lower surface for engaging a supporting surface and an outer periphery; a sidewall extending from the outer periphery of the base and having an inner surface and an outer surface.
9 . The furniture glide of claim 8 wherein the inner surface of the sidewall intersects the upper surface of the base at an acute angle.
10 . The furniture glide of claim 8 wherein the inner and outer surfaces are generally parallel.
11 . The furniture glide of claim 8 wherein the sidewall has a generally uniform thickness.
12 . The furniture glide of claim 8 wherein the inner and outer surfaces of the sidewall diverge.
13 . The furniture glide of claim 8 further comprising an adhesive on the upper surface of the base, the adhesive engageable with the terminal end of the furniture leg.
14 . The furniture glide of claim 8 where the sidewall is fabricated from an elastic material.
15 . A furniture glide mountable on the terminal end of a furniture leg having an outer surface, comprising:
a base having an upper surface, a lower surface and an outer periphery; a sidewall extending from the outer periphery of the base and having an inner surface defining a cavity for receiving the furniture leg and an outer surface; an adhesive on the upper surface of the base, the adhesive engageable with the terminal end of the furniture leg; and matted material molded into the outer surface of the sidewall.
16 . The furniture glide of claim 15 wherein the inner surface of the sidewall lo intersects the upper surface of the base at an acute angle.
17 . The furniture glide of claim 15 wherein the sidewall has a generally uniform thickness.
18 . The furniture glide of claim 15 wherein the inner and outer surfaces of the sidewall diverge.
19 . The furniture glide of claim 15 where the sidewall is fabricated from an elastic material.
20 . The furniture glide of claim 15 wherein the matted material molded into the lower surface of the base.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
