Collapsible bottle

Abstract

A collapsible bottle for storing foods, beverages and chemicals is provided. The bottle contains at least two telescoping sections. The interior has a bladder which provides an water proof seal, the cap can be any style to accommodate the need for usage. The bottle is preferably a one use system. It locks in the fully open position and closes incrementally through the saw teeth until it is in a fully closed locked position. This allows for disposal in a substantially reduced space. Also for storage purposes, during use the bottle can be collapsed to reduce the amount of air in the bottle.

1 . A collapsible bottle comprising at least two sections, comprising a top section and a bottom section, that collapse telescopically in a nesting formation, wherein said at least two sections are movable with respect to each other from a fully collapsed configuration to a fully expanded configuration, and wherein the at least two sections are adapted for locking in multiple configurations between said fully collapsed configurations and said fully expanded configuration. 
   
   
       2 . The bottle of  claim 1 , further including at least one middle section disposed in a collapsible and sliding relationship between said top section and said bottom section. 
   
   
       3 . The bottle of  claim 2 , wherein the top section comprises a set of vertical tracks disposed on a first and second inside surface thereof opposite each other, and wherein said set of vertical tracks comprises a vertical series of chamfered indentations. 
   
   
       4 . The bottle of  claim 3 , wherein said at least one middle section comprises at least one set of vertical tracks disposed on a first and second inside surface thereof opposite each other, and wherein said set of vertical tracks comprises a vertical series of chamfered indentations.

The bottle of  claim 4 , wherein the at least one middle section and the bottom section further comprises a set of locking tabs disposed opposite each other, and wherein each locking tab of said set of locking tabs includes a locking boss adapted to mesh with said vertical series of chamfered indentations so that the bottle retains a desired configuration and stability.

The bottle of  claim 5 , wherein the set of vertical series of chamfered indentations includes a bottom non-chamfered indentation adapted to lock the sliding bottle sections together so that they do not become detached when pushed past or from the expanded position on the collapsing axis. 
   
   
       7 . The bottle of  claim 2 , wherein the top section, middle section and bottom section comprise a tapered side wall to permit telescoping of the sections upon each other. 
   
   
       8 . The bottle of  claim 2 , wherein the top section, middle section and bottom section comprise a vertical side wall. 
   
   
       9 . The bottle of  claim 2 , further comprising a flexible bladder connected between the top section and the bottom section so that said flexible bladder collapses into the bottom section as the bottle is collapsed.
