Abstract

An operation wand unit for Roman shades includes a base fixed to a board hidden in the shade and includes a slot is defined in the base. A flat head of the operation wand is pivotably engaged with the slot of the base. Two notches are defined in the base in horizontal direction. The operation wand is a polygonal wand and includes multiple ridges and one of the ridges can be engaged with one of the notches when the wand is not in use.

1 . An operation wand unit for Roman shades, comprising:
 a base adapted to be fixed on the shade and including a slot defined in an underside thereof, the base including a first part and a second part and the slot located between the first and second parts, at least one notch defined in a front surface of the first part of the base, and   an operation wand including a flat head which is pivotably engaged with the slot and at least one ridge formed on the operation wand, the at least one ridge being engaged with the at least one notch in the base to position the operation wand.   
     
     
         2 . The operation wand unit as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the second part includes a first through hole and the flat head includes a second through hole, a rivet extends through the first and second through holes to pivot the operation wand to the base. 
     
     
         3 . The operation wand unit as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein the first part includes a recess defined in a rear side thereof and an end of the rivet extends through the second part and enters into the recess, the end of the rivet is flatted within the recess. 
     
     
         4 . The operation wand unit as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the first part includes two connection holes defined therein and two screws extend through the connection holes and are adapted to be connected to a board in the shade. 
     
     
         5 . The operation wand unit as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the at least one notch is horizontally defined in the first part of the base. 
     
     
         6 . The operation wand unit as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the operation wand includes multiple ridges.
