Abstract
A modular bicycle comprising a first section having a front frame section and a first tire, a second section being couplable to the first section and comprising a central frame, and a third section being couplable to the second section and the first section, with the third section comprising a rear frame section, a second tire, and a handle bar. The bicycle also comprises pedals that are removably securable to the crank arms of the bicycle. The pedals comprise a foot rest, a base section secured to the foot rest, and a locking member pivotally connected to the base section. The locking member is insertable into a through bore located on the crank arm and is pivotally rotatable towards the crank arm, thereby securing the pedal to the crank arm.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A removable bicycle pedal for use with a bicycle having a crank arm, said crank arm comprising a through bore, said pedal comprising:
a foot rest; a base section secured to said foot rest; and a locking member pivotally connected to said base section, said locking member being capable of being insertable into said through bore and pivotally rotatable towards said crank arm, said locking member providing means for securing said pedal to said crank arm.
2 . The bicycle pedal according to claim 1 , wherein said facing surfaces of said locking member and said crank arm defining camming means for providing longitudinal tension between said crank arm and said locking member.
3 . The bicycle pedal according to claim 2 wherein camming means further comprises a tab portion located on said locking member, said tab portion capable of sliding along a camming surface of said crank arm to secure said pedal to said crank arm.
4 . The bicycle pedal according to claim 1 wherein said securing means further comprises a tab portion located on said locking member, said tab portion capable of slidingly moving along a camming surface of said crank arm to secure said locking member to said crank arm.
