Abstract
The present invention provides reusable envelope structures, kits for forming reusable envelope structures, and methods of using envelopes formed from such structures and kits. Reusable envelope structures can be formed and kits can be formed for converting existing envelopes to reusable envelopes in accordance with the present invention. As such, envelopes may advantageously be provided that can be reused one or more times.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 11 . (canceled)
12 . A kit to make an envelope reusable, the kit comprising:
a reusable address label attachable to an envelope panel; at least one closure element positionable to help seal an access to the envelope; and a postage label attachable to an envelope panel.
13 . The kit of claim 12 , wherein the reusable label comprises a removable panel wherein removal of the removable panel exposes an underlying surface.
14 . The kit of claim 13 , wherein the underlying surface includes a printed address.
15 . The kit of claim 12 , further including a second reusable address label attachable to an envelope panel.
16 . The kit of claim 15 , wherein the second reusable label comprises a removable panel wherein removal of the removable panel exposes an underlying surface.
17 . The kit of claim 16 , wherein the underlying surface of the second reusable label includes a printed address.
18 . The kit of claim 15 , wherein the first reusable label, the second reusable label, the closure element, and the postage label are attached to each other by one or more lines of weakness.
19 - 28 . (canceled)
29 . A label capable of being attached to an envelope for making the envelope reusable, the label comprising:
a first panel having a front face and a rear face, the front face having a first portion thereof for displaying a mark, the first portion being separable from the first panel thereby defining a first open region in the first panel; and an adhesive for attaching the label to an envelope formed on at least a portion of the rear face of the label.
30 . A kit for converting an envelope to a multi-use envelope, the kit comprising:
a first label formed from a first panel having a front face and a rear face, the front face having a removable portion thereof capable of displaying a destination address, the removable portion being capable of being at least partially separated from the first panel thereby defining an open region in the first panel, the rear face having an adhesive for attaching the first label to an envelope formed on at least a portion of the rear face of the first label; a second label formed from a second panel having a front face and a rear face, the front face having a removable portion thereof capable of displaying a return address, the removable portion being capable of being at least partially separated from the second panel thereby defining an open region in the second panel, the rear face having an adhesive for attaching the second label to an envelope formed on at least a portion of the rear face of the second label; a third label formed from a third panel having a front face and a rear face, the front face having a portion thereof for displaying a postage mark, the rear face having an adhesive for attaching the third label to an envelope formed on at least a portion of the rear face of the third label, the third label being capable of sufficiently covering a cancelled postage mark; and a closure label for at least partially scaling at least a portion of an opened envelope.
