Abstract

An adhesive tape cutter includes a pair of fastening portions at the right and left sides such that both sides of an adhesive tape roll are enclosed by the fastening portions. The top of the fastening portions is fitted with an inclined resilient tongue and formed with a tape-guiding slot. A slide slot is formed in the side wall of the fastening portions in which a slider of a slide cap fits in such a way that a proper sliding action is achieved. Moreover, a plurality of resilient supports are integrally formed in a tape-receiving cavity defined by both of the fastening portions such that an adhesive tape roll may be constantly pushed by the resilient supports for creating a certain clamping relationship between the adhesive tape roll and the fastening portions.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An adhesive tape cutter; comprises a pair of fastening portions and a slide cap, wherein the fastening portions are in pair at the right and left sides, and one fastening portion provided with a plurality of locking holes and the other fastening portion provided with a plurality of locking projections; respectively such that the locking projections fit into the locking holes and both sides of an adhesive tape roll are enclosed, a top of each fastening portion is fitted with an inclined resilient tongue and formed with a tape-guiding slot adjacent to the inclined resilient tongue, a slide slot is formed in a side wall of each fastening portions in which a slider of the slide cap fits in such a way that a proper sliding action is achieved, a plurality of resilient supports are integrally formed in a tape- receiving cavity defined by both of the fastening portions such that an adhesive tape roll may be constantly pushed by the resilient supports for creating a clamping relationship between the adhesive tape roll and the fastening portions, a cutting edge is formed on the slide cap and at a position corresponding to the inclined resilient tongue of the fastening portions, and an extension tongue is formed on the slide cap and at both sides of the cutting edge respectively, such that when the slide cap is shifted in a direction to the inclined resilient tongues, the inclined resilient tongues are swiveled downward by the extension tongues in a hidden storage position so that the cutting edge is not in contact with the adhesive tape and the inclined resilient tongues, and when the slide cap is released in a reverse direction, the inclined resilient tongues is returned by their self-resilience back to their original inclined position for an easy pull-out of the adhesive tape.

2 . The adhesive tape cutter as claimed in claim 1 , wherein an opening is formed in the inclined resilient tongues such that the operator may easily pull out the adhesive tape with his fingers.

       3 - 8 . (canceled)
