Suspension Hook
Abstract
The present invention encompasses an arrangement ( 1 ) related to a suspension hook with a discrete anchorage portion fixable via fixing means ( 3 ,( 3 )), to a vertically orientable support ( 2 ) and a discrete hook portion ( 5 ) coordinated with the anchorage portion. Said anchorage portion ( 4 ) displays an elongate surface section ( 4 a ) with barbs ( 6 ), while said hook portion ( 5 ) displays a short surface section ( 5 a ) with corresponding barbs ( 7,8 ) in order, in a position with the barbs cooperating, to cause the retention of said hook portion ( 5 ) against the anchorage portion ( 4 ) in one set position selectable from among a plurality of such positions. A vertically directed loading (‘F’) acting on the hook portion ( 5 ) is adapted to be absorbed by a cooperation between said barbs ( 8 ) allocated to the hook portion and barbs ( 6 ) allocated to the anchorage portion. Said surface section ( 5 a ) associated with the hook portion displays two series-oriented surface sections, a first surface section ( 8 ) structured with said barbs ( 7 ) and a superjacent, adjacent second surface section ( 9 ) which is structured planar. Said barbs ( 8 ) are disposed to be oriented adjacent and laterally oriented in relation to a lower plane (‘P’) allocated to the lower surface of the second surface section ( 9 ).

An arrangement, relating to a suspension hook, with an anchorage portion fixable via fixing means to a vertically orientable support and a hook portion or catch portion coordinated with the anchorage portion, said anchorage portion displaying an elongate surface section with barbs, while said hook portion displays a short surface section with corresponding barbs in order, in a position with the barbs cooperating, to cause retention of said hook portion against the anchorage portion in one set position among a plurality of selectable positions, where a vertically directed force or loading acting on the hook portion is adapted to be absorbed by said barbs allocated to the hook portion and barbs allocated to the anchorage portion, characterised in, that said surface section associated with the hook portion displays two series-oriented surface sections, a first surface section structured with said barbs and an adjacent second surface section which is slidably structured, such as planar, and that said barbs are disposed to be oriented adjacent and laterally adjacent a plane allocated to the second surface section.
2 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said surface section associated with the hook portion is adapted, with said first surface section, to merge into an integral short planar surface section which is however somewhat longer than said first surface section.
3 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 2 , characterised in that the end portion of the planar surface section is oriented adjacent a spiculated hook portion or end portion allocated to the hook portion.
4 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said planar surface section is related to a thin tongue-like portion and is thereby resilient on an activating compressive force against the spiculated end portion of the hook portion.

The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that a rotation, caused by the activating compressive force, of the hook portion about an allocated axis of rotation against a resilient counterforce generated by the anchorage of the thin tongue-like portion in the hook portion is adaptable to release the barbed surface section of the hook portion from the barbed elongate surface section of the anchorage portion and thereby offer a simple displacement of the hook portion along the anchorage portion from a first selected adjusted position to another selected position.

An arrangement, relating to a suspension hook, with an anchorage portion fixable via fixing means to a vertically orientable support and a hook portion or catch portion coordinated with the anchorage portion, said anchorage portion displaying an elongate surface section with barbs, while said hook portion displays a short surface section with corresponding barbs in order, in a position with the barbs cooperating, to cause retention of said hook portion against the anchorage portion in one set position among a plurality of selectable positions, where a vertically directed force or loading acting on the hook portion is adapted to be absorbed by said barbs allocated to the hook portion and barbs allocated to the anchorage portion, that said surface section associated with the hook portion displays two series-oriented surface sections, a first surface section structured with said barbs and an adjacent second surface section which is slidably structured, such as planar, characterised in that said surface section associated with the hook portion is adapted, with said first surface section, to merge into an integral short planar surface section which is however somewhat longer than said first surface section where the end portion of the planar surface section is oriented adjacent a spiculated hook portion or end portion allocated to the hook portion, that said planar surface section is related to a thin tongue-like portion and is thereby resilient on an activating compressive force against the spiculated end portion of the hook portion, that said barbed first surface section is adapted to extend over said planar second surface section a distance corresponding to or slightly exceeding a depth allocated to the barbs, and that a rotation, caused by the activating compressive force, of the hook portion about an allocated axis of rotation against a resilient counterforce generated by the anchorage of the thin tongue-like portion in the hook portion is adaptable to release the barbed surface section of the hook portion from the barbed elongate surface section of the anchorage portion and thereby offer a simple displacement of the hook portion along the anchorage portion from a first selected adjusted position to another selected position.
7 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said hook portion displays an elongate recess or a cavity adapted for free cooperation with a rail associated with the anchorage portion and where said cooperation makes for a stop of said rotation of the hook portion under loading.
8 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said cooperation is adapted to form an abutment for said hook portion in a position where the barbs are cooperating.
9 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said rail is formed with a thin or narrow portion facing towards the anchorage portion and a wide portion facing away the anchorage portion for the formation of a cross section formed as a “T”.
10 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 6 , characterised in that barbs oriented on each side of the narrow portion of the rail are given a width corresponding to twice the width of said narrow portion.
11 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that an end portion is adapted to extend towards and ideally somewhat past the end termination associated with the planar surface section.
12 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said tongue-like portion is adapted to extend past a centre line allocated to the hook portion.
13 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said planar surface section is disposed to extend towards and an adapted distance past said axis of rotation.
14 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that the ratio between the longitudinal extent of the planar surface section and the barbed surface section is selected to be a ratio of greater than 1:1.
15 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that the ratio is selected to be less than 2:1.
16 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said hook portion displays a substantially parallelepipedic basic form or basic body with a hook unit integrated with the basic body as a narrow section whose end portion is adapted to extend towards and an adapted short distance past a portion terminating the basic body.
17 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said barbed first surface section is adapted to extend over said planar second surface section a distance corresponding to or slightly exceeding a depth allocated to the barbs.
18 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said loading is adapted to urge barbs associated with the hook portion towards barbs associated with the anchorage portion.
19 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that said barbs are structured as a saw tooth form with a bearing surface formed from a portion with a selected angle to said plane.
20 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that the anchorage portion tapers upwardly with a first surface and a second and inclining surface facing towards the support.
21 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 , characterised in that holes allocated to the fixing means in said anchorage portion are obliquely oriented, such as at right angles to said inclining surface.
22 . The arrangement as claimed in claim 20 , characterised in that the tapering is selected to be 2 to 5 mm.
