Abstract
Systems and methods for a mobile communication device are disclosed. The system generally includes a housing such as a headset, a speaker, a microphone, and a wireless communication module. The wireless communications module provides for directional communication links.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for providing a data service comprising:
determining a direction in which a user is looking based on a plurality of electronic devices; receiving a user confirmation of the direction; and providing a data service to a user mobile device responsive to confirmation of the direction.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user mobile device is a headset.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data service is delivery of voice or text data to the user mobile device.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data service is provided to the user mobile device by an electronic device selected from among the plurality of electronic devices.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of electronic devices are connected to a communication network.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of electronic devices are connected to a server via a wired or wireless connection.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of electronic devices includes a wireless communication module.
8 . A method for using a mobile device comprising:
receiving a user command to link with a desired target device selected from among a plurality of target devices, the desired target device associated with a directional orientation of a mobile device corresponding to a direction a user is facing; initiating a wireless communications link between the mobile device and the desired target device; and receiving or transmitting signals between the mobile device and the desired target device.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising presenting the user with zero, one, or more than one potential target devices responsive to the user command to link with the desired target device.
10 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising activating a plurality of potential target devices and polling for mobile devices.
11 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising transmitting a request link code between the mobile device and the desired target device.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of target devices are networked electronic devices capable of transmitting voice or text data.
13 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising presenting a plurality of potential desired target devices to the user.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein presenting a plurality of potential desired target devices to the user comprises measuring signal strengths received from the plurality of target devices.
15 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the mobile device is a headset.
16 . A method for providing a data service comprising:
determining a direction in which a user is facing based on a signal transmission from a mobile device; receiving a request for a data service from the user mobile device; and providing the data service to the user mobile device.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the data service is delivery of voice or text data to the user mobile device.
18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the user mobile device is a headset.
19 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the data service is provided to the user mobile device by an electronic device selected from among a plurality of electronic devices.
20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the plurality of electronic devices are connected to a communication network.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
