Abstract

A clip is provided with two wings pivoting about a common axis and a biasing spring forcing the wings toward a closed position to grab sheets of paper or other articles. The clip can be mounted on a board, a metallic surface, etc. One wing is formed with a large opening or window and a panel with multiple surfaces is rotatably supported within the window. The various surfaces are provided with different images and other information.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A clip comprising:
a first wing having an opening with a panel pivotably mounted in said opening and being rotatable between a first position presenting to a viewer a first image on a first surface of the panel and a second position presenting to the viewer a second image on a second surface of the panel; a second wing; and a biasing spring biasing said two wings for forming pressure nip receiving papers.

2 . The clip of claim 1 wherein said window has two lateral sides and said panel is mounted on a pin extending between said lateral sides, said pin being formed to pivotably support said panel.

3 . The clip of claim 2 further comprising pivoting elements securing said first and second wings together so that they pivot along a longitudinal axis.

4 . The clip of claim 3 wherein said pin extends in parallel to said axis.

5 . The clip of claim 1 further comprising a second panel disposed adjacent to said first within said window.

6 . The clip of claim wherein said first and second panels are disposed on the same pin.

7 . The clip of claim 1 wherein said window is generally rectangular and said panel has a shape matching the shape of said window.

8 . A clip for securing small articles and displaying two images comprising:
a first wing; a second wing, at least one of said first and second wings being formed with a window extending substantially over a major portion of the respective wing; a pivoting member attaching said wing in a pivoting configuration in which the wings can be pivoted between a first and a second configuration with respect to a common shaft; a biasing member biasing said wings toward said first position, said wings in said first position forming a pressure nip for said articles; and a panel having a first major surface bearing said first image and a second major surface bearing a second image, said panel being rotatably supported in said window and being rotatable to present one of said first and said second.

9 . The clip of claim 7 further comprising a support member rotatably supporting said panel within said window.

10 . The clip of claim 9 further comprising at least one additional panel rotatably supported within said window.

11 . The clip of claim 10 wherein panel and said additional panel are arranged to rotate along a common axis.

12 . The clip of claim 8 further comprising a pin extending between two lateral walls of said window and supporting said panel.

13 . The clip of claim 12 further comprising an additional panel supported by said pin.

14 . The clip of claim 8 wherein first wing is the front clip and said panel is disposed on said first wing.
