Shock absorber for a forearm protecting device
Abstract
This invention concerns a forearm protecting and shock absorbing device ( 120 ) covering the forearms from the base of the elbow to the wrist providing protection against attacks with truncheons, even with bladed weapons in various situations. The device may cover only the cubital part ( 30 ) of the forearm which is the vulnerable part. The whole device is supported on a covering portion ( 132 ) with a surface with a wave-absorbing cushion ( 134 ) consisting of Kevlar fibers or similar fibers capable of dispersing a shock wave over a larger surface. The covering portion is provided with sharp-edged points ( 128 ) inserted within it.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . ( FIG. 4 ) A combination of wrappings ( 120 ) for a limb being protected by defensive rods ( 128 ), said combination comprising:
a first membrane ( 154 ), for adapting to the skin, a second membrane ( 156 ) for overall covering, a shock absorbing portion ( 132 ) on which said defensive rods ( 128 ) are posed, said defensive rods ( 128 ) inserted between the two said membranes ( 154 , 156 ) and disposed at their base on said shock absorbing portion ( 132 ).
2 . ( FIG. 1 ) The combination of wrappings ( 120 ) of claim 1 wherein said shock absorbing portion ( 132 ) is provided with a flat surface ( 134 ) adapted to receive an impact from said defensive rod ( 128 ), said absorbing portion being made from composite materials such as:
resistant plastic, polycarbon or other lightweight material.
3 . ( FIG. 1 ) The combination of wrappings ( 120 ) of claim 1 wherein said shock absorbing portion ( 132 ) comprises at its ends ( 133 ) means for mutual insertion ( 138 , 140 ) for continuous wrapping around a limb.
4 . ( FIG. 3 ) The combination of claim 1 wherein said shock absorbing portion ( 132 ) is provided with a receiving portion ( 151 ) and a bearing distance ( 153 ) thereby creating a 90° angle support.
5 . ( FIG. 1 ) The combination of claim 1 wherein said defensive rods ( 128 ) comprise a removal part ( 129 ) thereby releasing foot bases ( 151 ) with two pillar legs 128 .
6 . ( FIG. 1 ) The combination of claim 5 wherein said pillar legs ( 128 ) are provided with an acute angle ( 126 ) for being retained by a reentrant portion ( 135 ).
7 . ( FIG. 1 ) The combination of claim 6 wherein said shock absorbing portion ( 132 ) comprises a bottom part ( 122 ) with a concavity ( 124 ) thereof, the spreading of an extension ( 133 ) of the shock absorbing portion ( 132 ) elongating the concavity ( 124 ) and releasing the reentrant portion ( 135 ), thereby permitting the securing of said pillar legs ( 128 ).
8 . ( FIG. 3 ) A device comprising an apex sharp edge point ( 130 ) and two defensive legs ( 127 ) originating from said apex, said device being provided with a shock absorbing portion ( 132 ) for being used in combination with means for wrapping a limb, said device being installed inside said means for wrapping, and intended to be used as means of self-defense or for attacking a criminal by applying a pressure using said armed limb;
said shock absorbing portion ( 132 ) comprising:
a bottom surface ( 123 ) adapted to be in contact with the skin,
receiving portions ( 151 ) adapted to receive said two legs by inserting said two legs from their base to a certain length ( 153 ) inside said portions ( 151 ), thereby locking and securing said legs, for receiving an impact from said defensive leg rods,
a concavity portion ( 124 ′) between said two legs ( 127 ) to facilitate the insertion of said two legs in said shock absorbing portion ( 132 );
said two defensive legs ( 127 ) being in metal or other hard material and being defined in a reversed V-shape with a thickness delimited by two sides ( 146 , 148 ) and a removal part ( 129 ) between said two legs, a sharp-edged point ( 130 ) defining the junction between said two legs ( 127 ).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
