Abstract

A micro array instrument is used in which an oligonucleotide based on a species- or genus-specific nucleotide sequence of subject bacteria is immobilized on a surface of a substrate. By confirming whether the oligonucleotide immobilized on the substrate has hybridized with a probe prepared from a test sample, bacteria contained in the test sample can be detected and identified easily, quickly, and accurately.

         30 . An instrument for detecting bacteria contained in a test sample, comprising a substrate on a surface of which are immobilized:
 (1) at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus brevis  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 7, 8, 9, and 71;   (2) at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus lindneri  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 22, 23, and 24; and   (3) at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Pediococcus  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, and 45.   
     
     
         31 . The instrument of  claim 30 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides comprise oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 7, 8, 9, 71, 22, 23, 24, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, and 45. 
     
     
         32 . The instrument of  claim 30 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises:
 (4) at least one oligonucleotide to detect Megasphaera selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 55.   
     
     
         33 . The instrument of  claim 30 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises:
 (5) at least one oligonucleotide to detect Pectinatus selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 56, 57, and 58.   
     
     
         34 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. 
     
     
         35 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus coryniformis  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 10, 11, and 12. 
     
     
         36 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus curvatus  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 13 and 14. 
     
     
         37 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus delbrueckii  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 16, 17, and 18. 
     
     
         38 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus fermentum  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 19, 20, and 21.

The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus malefermentans  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 25, 26, and 27.

The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus casei  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 28, 29, 30, and 31. 
     
     
         41 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus rhamnosus  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 32 and 33. 
     
     
         42 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Lactobacillus buchneri  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 34 and 35. 
     
     
         43 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Streptococcus  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 46 and 47. 
     
     
         44 . The instrument of  claim 33 , wherein the immobilized oligonucleotides further comprises at least one oligonucleotide to detect  Leuconostoc  selected from the group consisting of oligonucleotides consisting of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NOS: 48 and 49.
