Abstract
An electronic device and a user interface display method thereof are provided. The method organizes a plurality of computer programs and a web browser executable on the electronic device into a virtual book. Each page of the virtual book includes a user interface of one of the computer programs or a web page displayed by the web browser. The method also displays one of the pages as a destination page in response to an operating action of a user on the electronic device so that the user interface or the web page of the destination page is accessible to the user.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A user interface display method for an electronic device, comprising:
organizing a plurality of computer programs and a web browser executable on the electronic device into a virtual book, wherein each page of the virtual book comprises a user interface of one of the computer programs or a web page displayed by the web browser; and displaying one of the pages as a destination page in response to an operating action of a user on the electronic device so that the user interface or the web page of the destination page is accessible to the user.
2 . The user interface display method of claim 1 , wherein the step of displaying the destination page comprises:
displaying a flipping of the virtual book from a current page to the destination page according to the operating action, wherein the current page is one of the pages of the virtual book; the flipping of the virtual book comprises a single flipping or a continuous flipping; the displaying of the single flipping comprises displaying the flipping of the current page or the destination page, without displaying the flipping of the pages between the current page and the destination page; and the displaying of the continuous flipping comprises displaying the flipping of the pages between the current page and the destination page.
3 . The user interface display method of claim 2 , wherein the operating action comprises a slide performed by the user on a touch panel of the electronic device, and the user interface display method further comprises:
classifying the slide into a fast slide or a slow slide according to a speed of the slide; displaying the single flipping in response to the fast slide; and displaying the continuous flipping in response to the slow slide.
4 . The user interface display method of claim 3 , wherein the single flipping is displayed in response to the fast slide and the destination page is the page directly adjacent to the current page.
5 . The user interface display method of claim 3 , wherein the step of classifying the slide comprises:
classifying the fast slide into a fast short slide or a fast long slide according to a distance of the fast slide.
6 . The user interface display method of claim 5 , wherein the step of classifying the fast slide comprises:
classifying the fast slide into the fast short slide if the distance of the fast slide is shorter than a predetermined distance threshold; and classifying the fast slide into the fast long slide if the distance of the fast slide is longer than the predetermined distance threshold.
7 . The user interface display method of claim 5 , wherein the single flipping is displayed in response to the fast short slide and the destination page is the page directly adjacent to the current page.
8 . The user interface display method of claim 7 , wherein the single flipping is displayed in response to the fast long slide and a page distance from the current page to the destination page is a predetermined number.
9 . The user interface display method of claim 7 , wherein the single flipping is displayed in response to the fast long slide and a page distance from the current page to the destination page is proportional to the distance of the fast long slide.
10 . The user interface display method of claim 3 , wherein the continuous flipping is displayed in response to the slow slide and, in the continuous flipping, one page of the virtual book is flipped each time when the slow slide passes through a predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel.

The user interface display method of claim 3 , wherein the continuous flipping is displayed in response to the slow slide and, in the continuous flipping, one page of the virtual book is flipped when the slow slide passes through a first predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel, and then another page of the virtual book is flipped when the slow slide passes through a second predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel.

The user interface display method of claim 3 , wherein the continuous flipping is displayed in response to the slow slide, the touch panel comprises a flip bar, and a first ratio of a number of pages of the virtual book flipped in the continuous flipping to a total number of the pages of the virtual book is equal to a second ratio of the distance of the slow slide to a total length of the flip bar.

The user interface display method of claim 3 , wherein the operating action comprises the slow slide and a backward slow slide, the flipping of the virtual book comprises the continuous flipping in response to the slow slide and a backward continuous flipping in response to the backward slow slide, a direction of the backward slow slide is opposite to a direction of the slow slide, and a direction of the backward continuous flipping is opposite to a direction of the continuous flipping.
14 . The user interface display method of claim 13 , wherein, in the backward continuous flipping, one page of the virtual book is flipped each time when the backward slow slide passes through a predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel.

The user interface display method of claim 13 , wherein, in the backward continuous flipping, one page of the virtual book is flipped when the backward slow slide passes through a first predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel, and then another page of the virtual book is flipped when the backward slow slide passes through a second predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel.
16 . The user interface display method of claim 2 , wherein the operating action comprises a press performed by the user on a touch panel of the electronic device, and the user interface display method further comprises:
classifying the press into a light press or a heavy press according to a pressure of the press; displaying the single flipping in response to the light press; and displaying the continuous flipping in response to the heavy press.
17 . The user interface display method of claim 16 , wherein a speed of the flipping of the pages in the continuous flipping is proportional to the pressure of the press.
18 . An electronic device, comprising:
a touch panel; and a display; wherein the electronic device organizes a plurality of computer programs and a web browser executable on the electronic device into a virtual book, each page of the virtual book comprises a user interface of one of the computer programs or a web page displayed by the web browser; the electronic device senses movement and/or pressure caused by a user of the electronic device on the touch panel and interprets the movement and/or the pressure as an operating action of the user on the virtual book; the electronic device displays one of the pages as a destination page on the display in response to the operating action so that the user interface or the web page of the destination page is accessible to the user.

The electronic device of claim 18 , wherein the electronic device further displays a flipping of the virtual book from a current page to the destination page on the display according to the operating action; the current page is one of the pages of the virtual book; the flipping of the virtual book comprises a single flipping or a continuous flipping; the displaying of the single flipping comprises displaying the flipping of the current page or the destination page, without displaying the flipping of the pages between the current page and the destination page; the displaying of the continuous flipping comprises displaying the flipping of the pages between the current page and the destination page.

The electronic device of claim 19 , wherein the operating action comprises a slide performed by the user on the touch panel; the electronic device classifies the slide into a fast slide or a slow slide according to a speed of the slide, displays the single flipping on the display in response to the fast slide, and displays the continuous flipping on the display in response to the slow slide.
21 . The electronic device of claim 20 , wherein the electronic device further classifies the fast slide into a fast short slide or a fast long slide according to a distance of the fast slide.
22 . The electronic device of claim 21 , wherein the electronic device displays the single flipping in response to the fast short slide and the destination page is the page directly adjacent to the current page.
23 . The electronic device of claim 22 , wherein the electronic device displays the single flipping in response to the fast long slide and a page distance from the current page to the destination page is a predetermined number.
24 . The electronic device of claim 20 , wherein the electronic device displays the continuous flipping in response to the slow slide and, in the continuous flipping, one page of the virtual book is flipped each time when the slow slide passes through a predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel.
25 . The electronic device of claim 20 , wherein the operating action comprises the slow slide and a backward slow slide, the flipping of the virtual book comprises the continuous flipping in response to the slow slide and a backward continuous flipping in response to the backward slow slide, a direction of the backward slow slide is opposite to a direction of the slow slide, and a direction of the backward continuous flipping is opposite to a direction of the continuous flipping.

The electronic device of claim 25 , wherein, in the backward continuous flipping, one page of the virtual book is flipped when the backward slow slide passes through a first predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel, and then another page of the virtual book is flipped when the backward slow slide passes through a second predetermined number of pixels on the touch panel.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
