Abstract
There is described a method for preventing vehicle theft, the method comprising embedding multiple signal emitting devices in a vehicle, each one of the signal emitting devices being camouflaged among a part of the vehicle and hidden from view, each one of the signal emitting devices being independent of a power source for the vehicle and adapted to emit a signal actively without prompt at a given tuned frequency, at a given time, and at a given signal strength.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for locating a stolen vehicle, the method comprising:
embedding multiple signal emitting devices in the vehicle, each one of said signal emitting devices being camouflaged among a part of said vehicle and hidden from view, each signal emitting device being independent of a power source for the vehicle and adapted to emit actively without prompt; registering said vehicle in a central database; providing readers for receiving signals from signal emitting devices at a plurality of locations in a geographical area; connecting said readers to a network having a central location such that information being processed by said readers is transferred to and accessible by said central location, and correlated with said central database.
2 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices will also emit in response to a request from at least one of said readers and said network.
3 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices operates at a different frequency from a remainder of said signal emitting devices.
4 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting device operates at a different signal strength from a remainder of said signal emitting devices.
5 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices emits a signal at a different time interval from a remainder of said signal emitting devices.
6 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices is provided in substantially all major body parts of said vehicle.
7 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices emits signals at a frequency of once every few hours.
8 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said signal emitting devices are embedded in said vehicle in a manner such that removal would damage said vehicle.
9 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said multiple signal emitting devices comprises at least four signal emitting devices.
10 . A method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said providing readers comprises providing portable readers that are displaceable throughout said geographical area.
11 . A system for locating stolen vehicles, the system comprising:
multiple signal emitting devices embedded in a vehicle and camouflaged among various parts of the vehicle to be hidden from view, each signal emitting device being independent of a power source for the vehicle and adapted to emit actively without prompt; readers placed at a plurality of locations in a geographical area and connected to a network having a central location, said readers receiving signals from said signal emitting devices and transferring reader data to said central location; and a central database at said central location comprising registration data for each vehicle equipped with said signal emitting devices, and whereby said central database is correlated with said reader data to identify vehicles that have been stolen.
12 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices also emits in response to a request from at least one of said readers and said network.
13 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices operates at a different frequency from a remainder of said signal emitting devices.
14 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices operates at a different signal strength from a remainder of said signal emitting devices.
15 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices emits a signal at a different time interval from a remainder of said signal emitting devices.
16 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices is embedded in substantially all major body parts of said vehicle.
17 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein at least one of said signal emitting devices emits signals at a frequency of once every few hours.
18 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein said signal emitting devices are embedded in said vehicle in a manner such that removal would damage said vehicle.
19 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein said multiple signal emitting devices comprises at least four signal emitting devices.
20 . A system as claimed in claim 11 , wherein said readers are portable.

A vehicle comprising multiple signal emitting devices embedded and camouflaged among various parts of the vehicle to be hidden from view, each one of said signal emitting devices being independent of a power source for the vehicle and adapted to emit a signal actively without prompt at a given tuned frequency, at a given time, and at a given signal strength.
