Removable decorative element with attached band to accessorize hair bow and other hair embodiments

Abstract

The present invention is removable decorative element with attached band designed to wrap around the midsection of a hair bow or other hair embodiment. The invention has an elastic band, Velcro and a decorative element. This decorative element would be attached to one end of an elastic band by means of sewing or glue. On the backside of the decorative element there would be also a receiving piece of Velcro. The elastic band is between the decorative element and the Velcro. Attached to the opposite end and side of the elastic band there would be a mating piece of Velcro glued or sewn to the elastic band. The elastic band would wrap around the mid section of the hair bow or other hair embodiment to form a complete loop and attach to itself by Velcro, to be easily removable and also hidden from sight under the decorative element for aesthetic appeal. This removable decorative element with attached band can fit bows of many different shapes and sizes. There are many different decorative elements with attached bands to give one many choices to change the look of the hair bow. Velcro is the preferred removable attachment, however you can use some other removable attachment in place of the Velcro.

 (A) A decorative element   (B) An elastic band   (C) A removable attachment consisting of two mating parts, a giving part and a receiving part.   
   
   
       2 . A Decorative element can range in size from ¼″ w×¼″ h up to 4″ w×4″ h or any where between. 
   
   
       3 . A method according to  claim 1 . For the purpose of personalizing a bow or other hair embodiment by wrapping around a hair embodiment and forming a complete loop. In the example of a bow, the present invention would wrap around the midsection of the hair bow. 
   
   
       4 . A method according to  claim 3 . The elastic band forms the loop by having a removable attachment at both ends of the elastic band, the giving and receiving end to mate together and complete behind the decorative element so not to be seen. 
   
   
       5 . according to  claim 1 . The decorative element can come in many various shapes,sizes,colors and materials. 
   
   
       6 . according to  claim 5 . the decorative element may or may not have a hole going through it. 
   
   
       7 . according to  claim 1 . The elastic band wraps around the hair embodiment and forms a complete loop around the hair embodiment and connects to its self by means of a removable attachment of two mating parts that come together behind the decorative element and on the front side of the hair bow or other hair embodiment. 
   
   
       8 . according to  claim 7 . The elastic band can extend from any portion of the backside of the decorative element, however the midsection is preferred for stability. 
   
   
       9 . according to  claim 7 . The elastic band is attached permanently to the receiving end of the removable attachment. In the drawings it is permanently attached to the back side of the receiving piece of Velcro,and therefore also permanently attached to the back of the decorative element. In this case the elastic band is between the Velcro and the back of the decorative element, however it may or may not be permanently attached to the back of the decorative element depending on the removable attachment. 
   
   
       10 . according to  claim 9 . The elastic band ends at both ends of the removable attachment and is also attached permanently to the mating end of the removable attachment. 
   
   
       11 . according to  claim 9 . When using Velcro or other hook and loop as choice of removable attachment, the elastic band is permanently affixed to the backside of the decorative element under the backside of receiving Velcro piece which is permanently affixed to the elastic band and the back side of the decorative element. 
   
   
       12 . according to  claim 6 . The elastic band may or may not go through the decorative element before being permanently attached to the receiving end of the removable attachment behind the decorative element. 
   
   
       13 . according to  claim 7 . The size of elastic band would be no greater than 2″ wide, ½″ thick, and no more than 4″ in length not stretched, and no less than ½ not stretched and any length between. 
   
   
       14 . according to  claim 1 . The removable attachment can consist of any material that has two ends a giving end and a receiving end that mate together to become one and can be easily attached and detachable. 
   
   
       15 . according to  claim 14 . The removable attachment can be different sizes, colors, shapes and materials to best fit the certain decorative element. As seen in the drawings the preferred removable attachment is Velcro™. Or other forms of hook and loop. 
   
   
       16 . according to  claim 14 . Both ends of the removable attachment at either end of the elastic band connect, mating to form a complete loop. 
   
   
       17 . according to  claim 16 . The removable attachment connects mating with the other mating end of removable attachment, on the back side of the decorative element to form a complete loop. 
   
   
       18 . according to  claim 13 . The elastic band can come in many different colors including clear. 
   
   
       19 . according to  claim 13 . The elastic band can come in some other materials as long as they can stretch. 
   
   
       20 . according to  claim 9 . If using the preferred removable attachment of Velcro, the elastic band would be permanently affixed to the backside of the removable element and the receiving end of the Velcro piece would then be permanently affixed on the top of the elastic piece and the back of the decorative element.
