Abstract
A method for optimizing the performance of a time-critical computation component for a real-time interactive application includes the use of an algorithm having a precise logical thread and at least one fast estimation logical thread. The computation errors generated by the fast estimation thread are imperceptible by humans and are frame specific such that the errors are corrected within a graphical frame's time by the data from the precise logical thread.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for optimizing the performance of a time-critical computation component for a real-time interactive application, the component using an algorithm, comprising the steps of:
a) providing a complete set of calculations for the algorithm; b) retrieving one or more sets of data generated by completing some of the complete set of calculations; and c) feeding data generated by completing all of the complete set of calculations back to the algorithm.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein steps b) and c) are repeated by using data from step d) as a starting calculation point.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising the step of using the one or more data from step b) to render simulation graphics.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the rendered simulation contains computational errors imperceptible by humans.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the one or more data from step b) are selected from a member of the group consisting of: inaccurate data and partial data.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the algorithm is selected from a member of the group consisting of: an algorithm embedded in a physics engine, and an artificial intelligence code.
