Abstract

Compositions of the invention are water-based formulas that contain natural ingredients which aid in reduction of bacteria in the mouth, thereby reducing plaque and the production of tartar, and in one aspect of the invention are formulated as potable dental water that may be consumed in place of regular consumption of other forms of water or liquid, and in another aspect of the invention are formulated as dentifrices, such as toothpaste.

1 . A composition for providing a dental health care agent to a human, comprising:
 water;   an effective amount of at least one active ingredient selected to reduce the proliferation of bacteria in a human mouth; and   at least one antioxidant agent.   
   
   
       2 . The composition of  claim 1  further comprising natural breath freshening agents. 
   
   
       3 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein said composition is administered in a daily dose of between 200 ml and 4000 ml. 
   
   
       4 . The composition of  claim 3  wherein said composition is administered in an amount of at least 400 ml per day. 
   
   
       5 . The composition of  claim 1  further comprising vitamins. 
   
   
       6 . The composition of  claim 1  wherein said active ingredients are enzymes. 
   
   
       7 . The composition of  claim 6  wherein said enzymes are selected from the group consisting of papain, bromelain and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       8 . The composition of  claim 6  wherein said at least one antioxidant agent is derived from a plant source. 
   
   
       9 . The composition of  claim 8  wherein said at least one antioxidant agent is selected from the group consisting of grape skin extract, grape seed extract, blueberry extract and pomegranate extracts, and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       10 . The composition of  claim 8  further comprising at least one antibacterial agent. 
   
   
       11 . The composition of  claim 10  wherein said at least one antibacterial agent is selected from the group consisting of zinc gluconate, cinnamon extract, clove extract and parley seed oil, and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       12 . The composition of  claim 1  further comprising at least one coating agent for imparting the composition with the ability to coat a mouth cavity and teeth. 
   
   
       13 . The composition of  claim 12  wherein said at least one coating agent is selected from the group consisting of glycerin, guar gum, locust bean gum, xanthan gum and carrageenan gum, or combinations thereof. 
   
   
       14 . A method for providing a dental care agent to humans comprising administering to a human a potable water composition containing an effective amount of at least one active ingredient for reducing bacterial proliferation in the mouth and at least one antioxidant agent. 
   
   
       15 . The method of  claim 14  wherein said potable water is administered in a daily dosage of from between 200 ml and 4000 ml. 
   
   
       16 . A dentifrice for dental care, comprising water, at least one antioxidant agent, at least one antibacterial agent, chlorophyll, at least one enzyme. 
   
   
       17 . The dentifrice of  claim 16  wherein said composition is formed as a toothpaste. 
   
   
       18 . The dentifrice of  claim 16  wherein said at least one antioxidant is selected from the group consisting of grape skin extract, grape seed extract, blueberry extract and pomegranate extracts, and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       19 . The dentifrice of  claim 16  wherein said at least one antibacterial agent is selected from the group consisting of zinc gluconate, cinnamon extract, clove extract and parley seed oil, and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       20 . The dentifrice of  claim 16  wherein said enzyme is selected from the group consisting of papain and bromelain, and combinations thereof.
