Abstract

Road surface maintenance material including a core of cold-applied rubberized asphalt and an outer shell of aggregate material surrounding the core. The core and outer shell are in the shape of either a ball form, a string form, or a ribbon form.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Road surface maintenance material manufactured in a selected form comprising:
a core of cold-applied rubberized asphalt; and an outer shell of aggregate material surrounding the core.

2 . Road surface maintenance material manufactured in a selected form as claimed in claim 1 wherein the selected form includes one of ball shaped, string shaped, and ribbon shaped.

3 . Road surface maintenance material comprising:
a core of cold-applied rubberized asphalt; an outer shell of aggregate material surrounding the core; and the core and outer shell being in the shape of one of a ball form, a string form, and a ribbon form.

4 . Road surface maintenance material as claimed in claim 3 wherein the core and outer shell are in the shape of a string form and further include an elongated fiber extending longitudinally through the core of cold-applied rubberized asphalt.

5 . Road surface maintenance material as claimed in claim 3 wherein the core and outer shell are in the shape of a ribbon form and further include an elongated piece of fabric material or mesh extending longitudinally through the core of cold-applied rubberized asphalt.

6 . A method of maintaining road surfaces comprising the steps of:
providing a supply of maintenance material in a form including a core of cold-applied rubberized asphalt and an outer shell of aggregate material surrounding the core; and repairing a break in a surface of a road by filling the break with the form.

7 . A method as claimed in claim 6 wherein the step of providing a form, further includes providing a ball shaped form.

8 . A method as claimed in claim 6 wherein the step of providing a form, further includes providing a string shaped form, the string shaped form including an elongated fiber extending longitudinally through the core of cold-applied rubberized asphalt.

9 . A method as claimed in claim 6 wherein the step of providing a form, further includes providing a ribbon shaped form, the ribbon shaped form including an elongated piece of fabric material or mesh extending longitudinally through the core of cold-applied rubberized asphalt.

10 . A method as claimed in claim 7 wherein the step of filling the break includes filling potholes in a road with a plurality of the ball shaped forms.

11 . A method as claimed in claim 8 wherein the step of filling the break includes filling cracks in a road with at least one of the string shaped forms.

12 . A method as claimed in claim 9 wherein the step of filling the break includes filling cracks and depressions in a road with at least one of the ribbon shaped forms.
