Card game

Abstract

A card game played with two pinocle decks. All of the cards are dealt face up and a player can win by matching or suiting the previous card that has been received. Bets are paid according to a payout table. Additionally, the player has the option of placing a single bet as well as an ante or a grand slam bonus bet by placing multiple bets before the game commences. The player is also given the option of winning by obtaining a poker-type hand.

1 . A method of playing a card game, with a plurality of players, comprising the steps of:
 providing an opportunity for each player to place a single bet prior to any cards being dealt;   providing an opportunity for each player to place a multitude of bets prior to any cards being dealt;   dealing a first card to each player; and   dealing a second card to each player, the player winning if said second card matches the rank of said first card or the suit of said first card.   
   
   
       2 . The method of playing a card game in accordance with  claim 1 , including the step of allowing a player who placed a single bet lost to continue playing a particular hand by placing an additional bet prior to a third card dealt to that player. 
   
   
       3 . The method of playing a card game in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein all of the cards are dealt face up to each player. 
   
   
       4 . The method of playing a card game in accordance with  claim 1 , further comprising the step of playing with two Pinochle decks. 
   
   
       5 . The method of playing a card game in accordance with  claim 4 , further comprising the step of removing all of the nines from said Pinochle deck. 
   
   
       6 . The method of playing a card game in accordance with  claim 1 , further including the step of allowing a player to win based upon obtaining a poker-type hand. 
   
   
       7 . The method of playing a card game in accordance with  claim 2 , further including the step of allowing a player to win based upon obtaining a poker-type hand. 
   
   
       8 . The method of playing a card game in accordance with  claim 1 , further including the steps of dealing a total of five cards to at least one of the players, said five cards only applied to one player and dealing at least one additional card face up to be used by all participating players in a particular hand. 
   
   
       9 . The method of playing a card game in accordance with  claim 2 , further including the steps of dealing a total of five cards to at least one of the players, said five cards only applied to one player and dealing at least one additional card face up to be used by all participating players in a particular hand.
