Hands free operation adhesive tape dispenser

Abstract

A hands free adhesive tape dispenser comprising a protective housing shell consisting of a base, a body with tape cutting blade and a hinged lid/cover, including an interior turning hub for mounting adhesive tape or label rolls, the running end of which is threaded through a discharge opening to which the tape is available for quick access at the U notch where a finger or thumb easily fits to grasp the running end of the tape to pull and cut the desired length on the serrated cutting edge. The end of such tape rests at the dispenser's cutting edge ready for the next retrieval. The base housing comprising a rotary mount to which a role tape hub rides and actuated by movement as the user pulls tape from the dispenser housing during the tape retrieving and cutting process. As tape is severed a new tape end remains adhered until released by the next retrieved application. Hands free dispenser is warn on a person by means of the arm/leg harness attachment, chest harness strap, detachable belt hook device, or attached to an object or wall mount by using the same.

1 . A hands free dispenser for dispensing a medium such as a tape comprising:
 an dispenser body having rounded sidewalls and a bottom plate, wherein:   said sidewalls have an opening through which tape can be dispensed;   a means for rotably mounting and dispensing the medium coupled to the bottom plate;   a means for cutting the medium integrally formed into an outside of the dispenser body;   a dispenser lid cover rotatably coupled to the dispenser with a hinge;   a means for securing the dispenser lid to the dispenser body; and   a means for removably attaching the dispenser body to a person.   
   
   
       2 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 1  wherein:
 the means for rotatably mounting and dispensing the medium is a rotating hub on which the medium is mounted.   
   
   
       3 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 2  wherein:
 the means for rotatably mounting and dispensing the medium is removably attached to the bottom plate utilizing a post and a screw.   
   
   
       4 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 3  wherein:
 a plurality of different rotating hubs of different sizes can be exchangeably utilized as the means for rotatably mounting and dispensing the medium.   
   
   
       5 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 1  wherein:
 the dispenser body is oval in shape.   
   
   
       6 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 1  wherein:
 the dispenser lid is slightly domelike.   
   
   
       7 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 1  wherein:
 the means for removably attaching the dispenser body to the person comprises:
 a clip for attaching the hands free dispenser to a waist band or belt. 
   
   
   
       8 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 1  wherein:
 the means for removably attaching the dispenser body to the person comprises:
 a chest harness for attaching the hands free dispenser to a torso. 
   
   
   
       9 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 1  wherein:
 the means for removably attaching the dispenser body to the person comprises:
 an arm harness for attaching the hands free dispenser to an arm. 
   
   
   
       10 . The hands free dispenser in  claim 8  wherein:
 the arm harness comprises:
 a first strap and a second strap; 
 a hook fastener material; 
 a loop fastener material, 
   
     wherein:
 the arm harness is attached to the arm by engaging the hook fastener material with the loop fastener material. 
 
   
   
       11 . A hands free dispenser for dispensing a medium such as a tape comprising:
 an dispenser body having rounded sidewalls and a bottom plate and an overall oval shape, said sidewalls having an opening through which tape can be dispensed;   a hub for rotably mounting and dispensing the medium coupled to the bottom plate, said hub removably connected to the bottom plate with a removable binding post and screw inserted through a port in the bottom plate;   a cutting platform for cutting the medium integrally formed into an outside of the dispenser body;   a slightly dome-like dispenser lid cover rotatably coupled to the dispenser with a hinge and a double torsion spring;   an automatic latch hook for securing the dispenser lid to the dispenser body; and   a means for removably attaching the dispenser body to a person allowing for hands free operation.
