Washing machine

Abstract

A washing machine is disclosed. A washing machine includes a top cover at which an opening is formed, a lid hingedly coupled to the top cover, the lid opening and closing the opening, and a hinge member comprising a coupling part of a plate shape coupled to the lid and a hinge part of a cylinder shape hingedly coupled to the top cover, wherein a slot is provided at the hinge part. An object of the present invention is to provide a washing machine capable of improving a structure of a hinge member and to prevent damage of a top cover or lid which might be generated during the opening/closing of the top.

1 . A washing machine comprising:
 a top cover at which an opening is formed;   a lid hingedly coupled to the top cover, the lid opening and closing the opening; and   a hinge member comprising a coupling part of a plate shape coupled to the lid and a hinge part of a cylinder shape hingedly coupled to the top cover, wherein a slot is provided at the hinge part.   
   
   
       2 . The washing machine of  claim 1 , wherein the slot is substantially perpendicular to the coupling part. 
   
   
       3 . The washing machine of  claim 2 , wherein the slot is formed horizontally along a longitudinal direction of the hinge part. 
   
   
       4 . The washing machine of  claim 1 , wherein a cut part is provided at the hinge part, the cut part formed by cutting a portion of a circumferential surface of the hinge part. 
   
   
       5 . The washing machine of  claim 4 , wherein the cut part is formed by cutting the portion with a predetermined length from a border between the coupling part and the hinge part. 
   
   
       6 . The washing machine of  claim 1 , wherein the length of the slot is substantially three or four times of the length between the slot and an end of the hinge part.
