Abstract

The present invention is directed to novel polypeptides and to nucleic acid molecules encoding those polypeptides. Also provided herein are vectors and host cells comprising those nucleic acid sequences, chimeric polypeptide molecules comprising the polypeptides of the present invention fused to heterologous polypeptide sequences, antibodies which bind to the polypeptides of the present invention and to methods for producing the polypeptides of the present invention.

         89 . An isolated nucleic acid having at least 80% nucleic acid sequence identity to:
 (a) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12);   (b) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12), lacking its associated signal peptide;   (c) the nucleic acid sequence show in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11);   (d) the full-length coding sequence of the nucleic acid sequence show in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11); or   (e) the full-length coding sequence of the cDNA deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-202;   wherein the nucleic acid having at least 80% sequence identity to the nucleic acid of (a)-(e) encodes a polypeptide that binds to IL-17E.   
     
     
         90 . The isolated nucleic acid of  claim 89  having at least 85% nucleic acid sequence identity to:
 (a) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12);   (b) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12), lacking its associated signal peptide;   (c) the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11);   (d) the full-length coding sequence of the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11); or   (e) the full-length coding sequence of the cDNA deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-202;   wherein the nucleic acid having at least 85% sequence identity to the nucleic acid of (a)-(e) encodes a polypeptide that binds to IL-17E.   
     
     
         91 . The isolated nucleic acid of  claim 89  having at least 90% nucleic acid sequence identity to:
 (a) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12);   (b) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12); lacking its associated signal peptide;   (c) the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11);   (d) the full-length coding sequence of the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11); or   (e) the full-length coding sequence of the cDNA deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-202;   wherein the nucleic acid having at least 90% sequence identity to the nucleic acid of (a)-(e) encodes a polypeptide that binds to IL-17E.

 (a) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12);   (b) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12), lacking its associated signal peptide;   (c) the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11);   (d) the full-length coding sequence of the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11); or   (e) the full-length coding sequence of the cDNA deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-202;   wherein the nucleic acid having at least 95% sequence identity to the nucleic acid of (a)-(e) encodes a polypeptide that binds to IL-17E.   
     
     
         93 . The isolated nucleic acid of  claim 89  having at least 99% nucleic acid sequence identity to:
 (a) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12);   (b) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12), lacking its associated signal peptide;   (c) the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11);   (d) the full-length coding sequence of the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11); or   (e) the full-length coding sequence of the cDNA deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-202;   wherein the nucleic acid having at least 99% sequence identity to the nucleic acid of (a)-(e) encodes a polypeptide that binds to IL-17E.   
     
     
         94 . A vector comprising the nucleic acid of  claim 89 . 
     
     
         95 . The vector of  claim 94 , wherein the nucleic acid is operably linked to control sequences recognized by a host cell transformed with the vector. 
     
     
         96 . An isolated host cell comprising the vector of  claim 94 . 
     
     
         97 . The host cell of  claim 96 , wherein the cell is a CHO cell, an  E. coli  or a yeast cell. 
     
     
         98 . An isolated nucleic acid that hybridizes to:
 (a) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12);   (b) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide shown in  FIG. 12  (SEQ ID NO:12), lacking its associated signal peptide;   (c) the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11);   (d) the full-length coding sequence of the nucleic acid sequence shown in  FIG. 11  (SEQ ID NO:11); or   (e) the full-length coding sequence of the cDNA deposited under ATCC accession number PTA-202.   
     
     
         99 . The isolated nucleic acid of  claim 98 , wherein hybridization occurs under stringent conditions. 
     
     
         100 . The isolated nucleic acid of  claim 98  which is at least 10 nucleotides, 20 nucleotides, 30 nucleotides, 40 nucleotides, 60 nucleotides, 70 nucleotides, 80 nucleotides or 90 nucleotides in length.
