Abstract

A protective cover for a valve which is mounted proximally on an inlet pipe extending from a distal wall surface along a longitudinal axis provides a base cylinder wall aligned with the longitudinal axis and terminating distally with an integral base end wall. The base cylinder wall has a base slot extensive longitudinally, the slot contiguous through the base end wall radially to a medial position. a cover cylinder wall aligned with the longitudinal axis and frictionally engaged with the base cylinder wall; the cover cylinder wall having a cover slot extensive longitudinally therethrough from a distal end of the cover cylinder wall to a medial position therein. In an alternate embodiment, the base cylinder wall and end wall are replaced by a block with a longitudinal recess.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A protective cover apparatus for a valve mounted proximally on an inlet pipe extending from a distal wall surface along a longitudinal axis, the cover apparatus comprising:
a base cylinder wall aligned with the longitudinal axis and terminating distally with an integral base end wall, the base cylinder wall having a base slot extensive longitudinally therethrough, the slot contiguous through the base end wall radially to a medial position therein; and a cover cylinder wall aligned with the longitudinal axis and frictionally engaged with the base cylinder wall; the cover cylinder wall having a cover slot extensive longitudinally therethrough from a distal end of the cover cylinder wall to a medial position therein.

2 . The protective cover apparatus of claim 1 further comprising an adhesive, the adhesive covering at least a portion of an exterior surface of the base end wall.

3 . The protective cover apparatus of claim 1 wherein the base end wall has a mounting hole therethrough.

4 . The protective cover apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a proximal cover end wall integral with the cover cylinder wall.

5 . A protective cover apparatus for a valve mounted proximally on an inlet pipe extending from a distal wall surface along a longitudinal axis, the cover apparatus comprising:
a base block having an outer surface and an opposing concave inner surface, the outer and inner surfaces longitudinally extensive between a distal and a proximal planar surfaces; and a cover cylinder wall aligned with the longitudinal axis and frictionally engaged with the outer surface of the base block; the cover cylinder wall having a cover slot extensive longitudinally therethrough from a distal end of the cover cylinder wall to a medial position therein.

6 . The protective cover apparatus of claim 5 further comprising an adhesive, the adhesive covering at least a portion of the distal planar surface of the base block.

7 . The protective cover apparatus of claim 5 wherein the base block has a mounting hole therethrough, the mounting hole extensive between the distal and proximal planar surfaces.

8 . The protective cover apparatus of claim 5 further comprising a proximal cover end wall integral with the cover cylinder wall.
