Abstract
A medical device includes an alloy having chromium, niobium, and platinum, wherein the alloy forms at least a portion of the medical device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 24 . (canceled)
25 . A medical device comprising an alloy comprising chromium, greater than or equal to about 5 weight percent niobium, and greater than or equal to about 5 weight percent platinum, wherein the alloy forms at least a portion of the medical device.
26 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises less than about 5 percent by weight of a ferromagnetic element.
27 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises less than about 5 percent by weight of iron, nickel, or cobalt.
28 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy further comprises a first element selected from a group consisting of silicon, calcium, boron, aluminum, nitrogen, carbon, selenium, yttrium, tantalum, and manganese.
29 . The device of claim 28 , wherein the alloy comprises a plurality of first elements.
30 . The device of claim 28 , wherein the alloy comprises less than about 2% by weight of the first element.
31 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises from about 5 percent to about 30 percent by weight platinum.
32 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises from about 25 percent to about 30 percent by weight platinum.
33 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises from about 5 percent to about 40 percent by weight niobium.
34 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises from about 10 percent to about 20 percent by weight niobium.
35 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises from about 30 percent to about 90 percent by weight chromium.
36 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises from about 40 percent to about 50 percent by weight chromium.
37 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises:
from about 30 percent to about 50 percent by weight chromium; from about 10 percent to about 40 percent by weight niobium; and from about 5 percent to about 30 percent by weight platinum.
38 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises:
from about 40 percent to about 50 percent by weight chromium; from about 25 percent to about 30 percent by weight niobium; and from about 25 percent to about 30 percent by weight platinum.
39 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy consists essentially of chromium, niobium, and platinum.
40 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the alloy comprises a binary phase.
41 . The device of claim 40 , wherein the binary phase is selected from the group consisting of Cr 3 Pt, Cr 2 Nb, and Nb 3 Pt.
42 . The device of claim 25 , in the form of a stent.
43 . The device of claim 25 , wherein the device is selected from the group consisting of a guidewire, a needle, a catheter, an intraluminal filter, a staple, a clip, an orthopedic implant, and dental prosthesis.
44 . A stent, comprising
an alloy comprising chromium, greater than or equal to about 10 weight percent niobium, and greater than or equal to about 5 weight percent platinum, wherein the alloy forms at least a portion of the stent.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
