Device for Golf Bags
Abstract
The invention provides an improved way for transporting and storing golf clubs. The device secures the clubs on the outside of the bag with their shafts turned upwards and the club heads turned downwards, whereby the interior of the bag becomes available for other equipment and the center of gravity for the bag is low. The grips are separated with equal space between them making it easier to notice if a club is missing. Every club is secured and placed in a way where they do not come in contact with other clubs, preventing unwanted noise and wear. Different devices for woods, irons and putters ensure a fit for club heads of many different sizes and shapes. The racks for the wood clubs and the holder for a putter include adjustable, exchangeable and replaceable parts, making adjustments easy in order to fit different size club heads.

A device for a golf cart for hanging and transporting golf clubs identified by a golf bag parked in a vertical position, equipped at the top with a device to secure fourteen club shafts, which in a straight line stick up over the top edge of the bag with equal distance between each shaft from one side to the other, a device to secure twelve iron club heads placed in an oblong opening located at the bottom of the golf bag, four racks to secure the heads of wood clubs located below the bottom edge of the golf bag, an opening to secure a putter head located between the shortest iron clubs location and the longest wood club's holder plus rubber stripping, which separates the club shafts from the golf bag preventing unwanted wear.

A device based on above mentioned requirement, recognized by; that the shaft holder consists of a shaft railing and a shaft cushioning, that the shaft railing is manufactured using a metal wire covered in a soft material and placed above and slightly shifted outside a continuation of the bag's side walls, that the shaft cushioning is manufactured from a soft cushioning material located at the top of the outside of the golf bag, that the shaft railing secures the club shaft against the shaft cushioning after the club head has been lowered and placed into its location, thereby automatically securing the club shaft, that the club shafts on each side function as a visual and physical guidance when positioning a club shaft into a open location underneath the shaft railing plus that the shaft cushioning has fourteen evenly distanced vertical depressions steering the club shafts to a symmetric suspension, which automatically indicates a missing club or clubs.

A device based on at least one the above mentioned requirement, recognized by; a securing bridge made from a soft cushioning material with twelve channels securing each individual iron club head with profiles suited for iron golf clubs ranging from number 1 through 9 as well as wedge clubs with a more narrow profile close to the bottom of each channel to lock the sole of the club, that the securing bridge is located inside the bottom part of the golf bag, accessible through a chamber plus the securing bridge is secured by resting on a rib and surrounded by the golf bag's sides and front, which are leaning towards the center of the bag.

A device based on at least one of the above mentioned requirements, recognized by; four racks for wood clubs manufactured from metal covered by a soft material, each mounted with two holders and at the bottom of the inside of the golf bag, that the ends of the racks are put through holes at each end of respective holder, that the racks depth beneath the golf bag can be adjusted with two stop screws, each rack can be pushed in to make the golf bag shorter until the stop screws hit the top hole of each holder, that the hole to mount each holder to the golf bag is located off to the side compared to the holes that the rack is put though, which make it possible to exchange a specific rack with a wider or more narrow rack to suit club heads of different sizes plus the height of the rack can be adjusted in order for the rubber profile to apply appropriate pressure to each club.

A device based on at least one of the above mentioned requirements, recognized by; an opening in the shape of a rectangular shaped hole through the wall of the golf bag large enough to contain a modern design wide putter head, that the hole is located between the shortest iron club's and the longest wood club's respective spaces, that the back, front and bottom edges are covered with a rubber, that the top edge is covered with a rubber profile with an edge sticking out and the profile easily being exchanged for a different profile with a shorter or longer tongue to accommodate putter heads of different sizes.

A device based on some of the above mentioned requirements, recognized by; that above all of the three racks for wood clubs there will be an open position for an iron club whereby the player has the freedom to carry either a wood or an iron club in each of the racks for wood clubs or in the locations for iron clubs.

A device based on some of the above mentioned requirements, recognized by; the racks for wood clubs are located in a way that when they are being used, the wood clubs hang down below the iron clubs and thereby the symmetry of the iron clubs breaks into four parts whereby identifying every iron club to the location it belongs is made much easier.
8 .
