Body shaping apparel

Abstract

The invention is an undergarment designed to assist a brassiere in providing lift and improved cleavage to the bust while also acting as slimming shape wear. The undergarment is worn over a brassiere. The cup-less design provides a level of lift that an ordinary brassiere on its own cannot produce. In addition, the undergarment acts as a slimming shape wear garment. The material is wider under the arm, smoothing bulges created by the brassiere.

1 . An apparel apparatus for assisting a brassiere in improving cleavage, slimming underarm area and improving posture comprising:
 a main rear panel positioned on the back of the user,   a first panel and a second panel, said panels extending from the main rear panel, said panels having an outer surface, an inner surface, a top surface and a bottom surface, said panels being positioned below the user's brassiere providing additional lift for the breasts,   a first and a second extension, said first extension extending upwardly from the top edge of said first panel and said second extension extending upwardly from the top edge of said second panel,   a first and a second strap extending from said main rear panel and over the shoulder of the wearer, said first strap being connected to said first extension at the front of the wearer, said second strap being connected to said second extension at the front of the wearer.   
   
   
       2 . An apparel apparatus according to  claim 1  wherein said panels are comprised of a foam sheet, said foam sheet having a first side and a second side, and a first sheet and a second sheet of microfiber, said microfiber being soft and flexible, said first sheet of microfiber being laminated to the first side of said foam sheet and said second sheet of microfiber being laminated to the second side of said foam sheet. 
   
   
       3 . The apparel apparatus according to  claim 2  wherein said foam sheet has a ⅛ inch thickness. 
   
   
       4 . An apparel apparatus according to  claim 3  wherein said strap is attached to said first and second panels using a ring. 
   
   
       5 . An apparel apparatus according to  claim 4  wherein the length of said strap is adjusted using a slide. 
   
   
       6 . An apparel apparatus according to  claim 5  wherein said first strap being attached to said first extension, said second strap being attached to said second extension. 
   
   
       7 . An apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein heat seals are used to fuse said first and second panels to said main rear panel and fuse said straps to said main rear panel. 
   
   
       8 . An apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said first and second panels are sewn to said main rear panel and said straps are sewn to said main rear panel. 
   
   
       9 . An apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said first and second panels are sewn to the main rear panel. 
   
   
       10 . The apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said first panel has one or more midriff panels extending from a bottom edge thereof, said second panel has one or more midriff panels extending from a bottom edge thereof, and the main rear panel has a rear midriff panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, said first midriff panel and said second midriff panel being secured to opposite sides of said rear midriff panel. 
   
   
       11 . The apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said first panel has a first “long line” panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, said second panel has a second “long line” panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, and the main rear panel has a rear “long line” panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, said first “long line” panel and said second “long line” panel being secured to opposite sides of said rear “long line” panel. 
   
   
       12 . The apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said first panel and said second panel have a single slip panel extending from a bottom edge of said first and second panel and wherein there is a rear slip panel extending from said rear panel and wherein said rear slip panel is secured to said rear slip panel at opposite sides of said rear slip panel. 
   
   
       13 . An apparel apparatus for assisting a brassiere in improving cleavage, slimming underarm area and improving posture comprising:
 a back panel, said back panel having a inner surface and an outer surface, a top edge a bottom edge, said top edge having a concave shape, said bottom edge having a straight edge, a left side edge and a right side edge, each said side edge having a generally triangular extension that forms a peak extending from about the midpoint of each said side edge, a top left corner extension extending from the contact point between said left side edge and said top edge, a top right corner extension extending from the contact point between said right side edge and said top edge, said corner extensions having a generally straight edge,   a left side panel and a right side panel, each side panel having an inner surface and an outer surface, a top edge, bottom edge, an inner side edge and an outer side edge, said outer surface of said inner side edge of each side panel being sewn to said side edge of said back panel from said midpoint of said side edge of main back panel to said bottom edge of main back panel, a triangular extension extending from said top edge, said triangular extension having a generally flat tip, said flat tip being looped through a ring and heat sealed to said triangular extension of each said side panel, said length of said outer edge of said side panels being shorter than said inner edge of said side panels, said outer edge of said left side panel having a plurality of hooks arranged vertically, said outer edge of said right side panel having a plurality of eyes arranged vertically, said bottom edge curving downward, said side panels residing below the breast of the wearer,   a left strap and a right strap, said straps having a back end and a front end, said left strap being heat sealed to said left corner extension of said back panel, said right strap being heat sealed to said right corner extension of said back panel, said straps having a slide to adjust the length of said straps, said front end of said left strap being looped through said ring of said left side panel, said front end of said right strap being looped through said ring of said right panel, said front end of said straps being looped through said slide and heat sealed, said straps being worn over the shoulder of said wearer.   
   
   
       14 . The apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said right side panel has a first midriff panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, said left side panel has a second midriff panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, and the back panel has a rear midriff panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, said first midriff panel and said second midriff panel being secured to opposite sides of said rear midriff panel. 
   
   
       15 . The apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said right side panel has a first “long line” panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, said left side panel has a second “long line” panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, and the back panel has a rear “long line” panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, said first “long line” panel and said second “long line” panel being secured to opposite sides of said rear “long line” panel. 
   
   
       16 . The apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said right side panel and said left side panel have a single slip panel extending from a bottom edge of said right and left panel and wherein there is a rear slip panel extending from said rear panel and wherein said rear slip panel is secured to said rear slip panel at opposite sides of said rear slip panel. 
   
   
       17 . The apparel apparatus according to  claim 6  wherein said first panel has two or more midriff panels extending from a bottom edge thereof, said second panel has two or more midriff panels extending from a bottom edge thereof, and the main rear panel has a rear midriff panel extending from a bottom edge thereof, one of said first midriff panels and one of said second midriff panels being secured to opposite sides of said rear midriff panel. 
   
   
       18 . An apparel apparatus for assisting a brassiere in improving cleavage, slimming underarm area and improving posture comprising:
 a back panel, said back panel having a inner surface and an outer surface, a top edge a bottom edge, said top edge having a concave shape, said bottom edge having a straight edge, a left side edge and a right side edge, each said side edge having a generally triangular extension that forms a peak extending from about the midpoint of each said side edge, a top left corner extension extending from the contact point between said left side edge and said top edge, a top right corner extension extending from the contact point between said right side edge and said top edge, said corner extensions having a generally straight edge,   a left side panel and a right side panel, each side panel having an inner surface and an outer surface, a top edge, bottom edge, an inner side edge and an outer side edge, said outer surface of said inner side edge of each side panel being sewn to said side edge of said back panel from said midpoint of said side edge of main back panel to said bottom edge of main back panel, a triangular extension extending from said top edge, said triangular extension having a generally flat tip, said flat tip being looped through a ring and sewn to said triangular extension of each said side panel, said length of said outer edge of said side panels being shorter than said inner edge of said side panels, said outer edge of said left side panel having a plurality of hooks arranged vertically, said outer edge of said right side panel having a plurality of eyes arranged vertically, said bottom edge curving downward, said side panels residing below the breast of the wearer,   a left strap and a right strap, said straps having a back end and a front end, said left strap being sewn to said left corner extension of said back panel, said right strap being sewn to said right corner extension of said back panel, said straps having a slide to adjust the length of said straps, said front end of said left strap being looped through said ring of said left side panel, said front end of said right strap being looped through said ring of said right panel, said front end of said straps being looped through said slide and heat sealed, said straps being worn over the shoulder of said wearer.
