Abstract
A domestic apparatus, such as a cooking appliance, uses hydrogen and, optionally electrical heating, to cook food. The cooking appliance may have a cooking surface (e.g. a grilling surface) so as to result in an indoor barbeque, which may be used with no venting or reduced venting requirements.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 249 . (canceled)
250 . A method of cooking food comprising:
(a) actuating an electrolyzer to produce hydrogen; (b) combusting the hydrogen to produce heat and utilizing the heat to cook the food; and, (c) utilizing electricity to heat a cooking surface.
251 . The method of claim 250 further comprising conducting steps (b) and (c) simultaneously.
252 . The method of claim 250 wherein step (c) comprises utilizing electricity to conductively heat a cooking surface.
253 . The method of claim 252 further comprising placing food on the cooking surface.
254 . A method of cooking food in a cooking appliance comprising:
(a) actuating an electrolyzer to produce hydrogen; (b) combusting the hydrogen to produce heat and utilizing the heat to cook the food; and, (c) utilizing electricity to produce additional the heat to cook the food.
255 . The method of claim 254 further comprising concurrently combusting the hydrogen to produce heat and utilizing electricity to produce additional heat to cook the food.
256 . The method of claim 254 further comprising utilizing electricity to heat a cooking surface.
257 . The method of claim 256 further comprising placing food on the cooking surface.
258 . The method of claim 254 further comprising placing food on a rotisserie in the cooking appliance.
259 . The method of claim 254 wherein the portable cooking appliance has a plug which is receivable in a domestic electric outlet and the method further comprises inserting the plug in the domestic electric outlet prior to actuating the electrolyzer.
260 . The method of claim 254 wherein the portable cooking appliance has a reservoir in fluid communication with the electrolyzer and the method further comprises providing water to reservoir.
261 - 337 . (canceled)
338 . The method of claim 250 further comprising inserting an electric plug into a domestic electric outlet prior to step (a).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
