Abstract

An inflatable toddler bumper prevents injury to a toddler by a corner of a wall or a table. The inflatable toddler bumper has an inflatable bladder with a formed internal corner shaped to fit around a corner of a wall or a corner of a table. The inflatable bladder attaches to the corner by one or more double-sided adhesive pads. The inflatable toddler bumper has an inflation point to allow air to be blown into the inflatable bladder, the inflation point having a stopper to prevent escape of air.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An inflatable toddler bumper for preventing injury to a toddler by a corner of a wall, comprising:
at least one inflatable bladder having a formed internal corner shaped to fit around the corner of the wall, the inflatable bladder being attached to the corner of the wall by one or more double-sided adhesive pads; an inflation point to allow air to be blown into the inflatable bladder, the inflation point having a stopper to prevent escape of air.

2 . The bumper of claim 1 , further comprising an embossed shape on the inflatable bladder, the embossed shape increasing toddler awareness of the corner.

3 . The bumper of claim 1 , further comprising one or more internal membranes for forming the internal corner.

4 . The bumper of claim 1 , the at least one bladder comprising two or more independently inflatable bladders, each having an independent inflation point.

5 . The bumper of claim 4 , wherein the independently inflatable bladders provide increased rigidity to the bumper for facilitating mounting of the bumper to the corner.

6 . The bumper of claim 1 , wherein the inflatable bladder comprises an inner material and an outer material, wherein the inner material contacts the wall and the outer material does not.

7 . The bumper of claim 6 , wherein the inner material is thicker than the outer material and imparts additional strength and stiffness to the bumper.

8 . An inflatable toddler bumper for preventing injury to a toddler by a corner of a table, comprising:
at least one inflatable bladder having a formed internal slot shaped to fit over the corner of the table, the inflatable bladder being attachable to the corner of the table by one or more double-sided adhesive pads; an inflation point to allow air to be blown into the inflatable bladder, the inflation point having a stopper to prevent escape of air.

9 . The bumper of claim 8 , further comprising an embossed shape on the inflatable bladder, the embossed shape increasing toddler awareness of the corner.

10 . The bumper of claim 8 , further comprising one or more internal membranes for forming the internal slot.

11 . The bumper of claim 8 , the at least one bladder comprising two or more independently inflatable bladders, each having an independent inflation point.

12 . The bumper of claim 11 , wherein the independently inflatable bladders provide increased rigidity to the bumper for facilitating mounting of the bumper to the corner.

13 . The bumper of claim 8 , wherein the inflatable bladder comprises an inner material and an outer material, wherein the inner material contacts the table and the outer material does not.

14 . The bumper of claim 13 , wherein the inner material is thicker than the outer material and imparts additional strength and stiffness to the bumper.

15 . An inflatable toddler bumper for preventing injury to a toddler by a corner, comprising:
an inflatable bladder having an internal surface shaped to fit with the corner; one or more double-sided adhesive pads for securing the inflatable bladder against the corner; an inflation point to allow air to be blown into the inflatable bladder, the inflation point having a stopper to prevent escape of air.

16 . The bumper of claim 15 , the corner comprising a wall corner, the internal surface of the inflatable bladder having an internal corner complimentary to the wall corner, for fitting against the wall corner.

17 . The bumper of claim 16 , the corner comprising a table corner, the internal surface formed with a slot shaped to fit over the table corner.

18 . The bumper of claim 15 , further comprising one or more membranes internal to the bladder, for shaping the bladder to fit the internal surface with the corner when the bladder is inflated.

19 . The bumper of claim 15 , further comprising a second, independently inflatable bladder having a second inflation point for inflating the second bladder.
