Table
Abstract
A table comprising a frame, a table top surface and a folding leg mechanism, wherein said frame includes a perimeter portion that defines the outside edges of said table, the perimeter portion comprising a plurality of elongate sections joined together by at least one connector, said connector including a first joining part adapted to engage a complimentary part on one of the elongate sections and a second joining part adapted to engage a complimentary part on one of the other elongate sections, said connector also including a mount to connect at least part of the folding leg mechanism to said frame.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .
2 . A table according to claim 1 , in which the first joining parts comprises a first connecting member and the second joining part comprises a second connecting member, said first and second connecting members being adapted to project from said connector, and the complimentary parts comprise a bore in each elongate section that receives the relevant connecting member.
3 . A table according to claim 1 , in which the elongate section is hollow and the elongate section forms the part complimentary to said connecting member.
4 . A table according to claim 1 , in which said mount comprises a bore into which a bolt or rivet can be secured to attach the folding leg mechanism to said connecting member.
5 . A table according to claim 1 , in which the mount comprises two bores through said connector.
6 . A table according to claim 5 , in which the two bores are positioned such that one of the bores can be used to mount said folding leg mechanism when said connector is in a first orientation and the other bore is used when said connector is in a second orientation.
7 . A table according to claim 1 , in which said frame comprises four elongate perimeter sections and four connector.
8 . A table according to claim 7 , in which said first connecting member projects at a right angle to said second connecting member.
9 . A table according to claim 1 , in which said mount comprises a first bore and a second bore, said first bore being located adjacent said first connecting member and said second bore being located adjacent said second connecting member, said first and second bores extending through said connecting member at right angles to each other.
10 . A table according to claim 1 , in which said elongate sections are hollow and have straight cut ends.
11 . A connector for joining a plurality of elongate sections to form a frame of a folding table, said connector comprising a first joining part adapted to engage a complimentary part of a first elongate section and a second joining part adapted to engage a complimentary part of a second elongate section, said connector also including a mount to connect at least part of a folding leg mechanism to said frame.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
