Abstract
A Slip-Notz™, bed band, in its operative position, utilizes multiple functions. Its primary function is to secure the positioned bed skirt/dust ruffle onto a box springs of a bed set when it is mounted. A Slip-Notz™, bed band, is also, but not limited to, a decorative addition to the bedding ensemble; which may be created from the same fabric as the bed skirt/dust ruffle to blend in, or created from contrasting fabrics to complement the bed skirt/dust ruffle, said Slip-Notz™, bed band, utilizing, but not limited to, decorative trims.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A Slip-Notz™, bed band, mounted on a box springs of a bed set; said Slip-Notz™, bed band, comprising of;
(a) a fabric casing; (b) a stretching member run through said fabric casing, said stretching member allowing fabric casing to rest between an operative extended position and a relaxed position;
2 . The Slip-Notz™, bed band, as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said fabric casing is cut and stitched in various lengths depending on the size of the box springs (hereinafter relating to a twin, double, queen, or king sized box springs) of a bed set; and, depending on the desired appearance of the finished Slip-Notz™, bed band, to lie flat or gathered in its extended position when mounted to the box springs of a bed set.
3 . The Slip-Notz™, bed band, as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said stretching member is cut and stitched in various lengths depending on the size of the box springs of a bed set; and, allowing the mounted Slip-Notz™, bed band, to secure the positioned bed skirt/dust ruffle onto the box springs of a bed set.
4 . The Slip-Notz™, bed band as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said fabric casing is originated by cutting a strip of fabric approximately, but not limited to, five inches wide and various lengths depending on the desired finished appearance of the Slip-Notz™, bed band, when mounted to the box springs of a bed set where it would lie flat or gathered; and wherein, but not limited to, a one-half inch seam allowance is made for the four sides of the fabric strip; and wherein when the fabric strip is folded lengthwise and stitched a fabric casing approximately, but not limited to, two inches wide is created.
5 . The Slip-Notz™, bed band, as claimed in claim 3 , wherein said stretching member approximately, but not limited to, one and one quarter (1¼) inch elastic that is run through the fabric casing where the ends of the elastic are overlapped, but not limited to, an inch, and box-stitched to secure the elastic and form an elasticized fabric covered band; and wherein the ends of the fabric are then joined by, but not limited to, a blind-stitched seam which seam closes the ends of the fabric and completes the Slip-Notz™, bed band.
6 . A Slip-Notz™, bed band, mounted on a box springs of a bed set, said Slip-Notz™, bed band, comprising of:
(a) a fabric casing (b) a stretching member run through said fabric casing, said stretching member allowing fabric casing to rest between an operative extended position and a relaxed position.
7 . A Slip-Notz™, bed band, as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said fabric casing, has a substantially circular shape profile when in a relaxed position; and, wherein said fabric casing has a substantially rectangular shape profile when mounted over the bed skirt/dust ruffle after it is positioned over the box springs of a bed set.
8 . A Slip-Notz™, bed band, as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the stretching member when run through the fabric casing; and, wherein the stretching member is over-lapped and secured by box-stitching the ends of the stretching member together; and, wherein the fabric casing ends are stitched together; and, wherein the finished Slip-Notz™, bed band, is then ready to be mounted over the positioned bed skirt/dust ruffle onto the box springs of a bed set in its operative position.
9 . A Slip-Notz™, bed band, as claimed in claim 8 , wherein said elasticized fabric-covered band when mounted over the bed skirt/dust ruffle after it is positioned over the box springs of a bed set then secures the bed skirt/dust ruffle onto the box springs of a bed set; wherein said Slip-Notz™, bed band, holds the positioned bed skirt/dust ruffle stationary when the box springs of a bed set is then topped with the mattress of the bed set; and, wherein said Slip-Notz™, bed band, holds the positioned bed skirt/dust ruffle stationary while the bed sheets are tucked under the mattress to dress the bed.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
