Combination uplift and coverage bra

Abstract

An uplift and coverage bra includes a pair of breast cups having at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as such breast cups. A mechanism is connected to at least one of an outside edge generally adjacent to a lower portion of each of such breast cups and an inside edge generally adjacent to the lower portion of each of such breast cups, for at least partially encircling a user's torso. Such mechanism has an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion. A joining mechanism is connected to at least one of such mechanism for at least partially encircling such user's torso at a predetermined location thereon and the inside edges adjacent to the lower portion of such breast cups, for joining at least one of such breast cups and such mechanism for at least partially encircling such user's torso.

1 . An uplift and coverage bra comprising;
 a. a pair of breast cups including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing said uplift and coverage bra, said breast cups each having an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge;   b. a means, connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups and said inside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups, for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, said means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion;   c. a joining means connected to at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and said inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups, for joining at least one of said breast cups and said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and;   d. an upholding means connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent said upper portion of said breast cups at a predetermined location thereon, at least said upper edge of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and a connector means operably connected to at least one predetermined location on at least one of said upholding means and said breast cups, for assisting said breast cups in upholding such user's breasts and holding said breast cups in close proximity to such user's breasts in an uplifting manner so as to enable such user's breasts to resist the natural forces of gravity.   
   
   
       2 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 1  wherein said breast cups further include at least one of an under wire and padding for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction. 
   
   
       3 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 1  wherein said at least one layer includes varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon. 
   
   
       4 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 1  wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap operably connected at each respective end of said at least one strap to at least one of respective predetermined locations on said uplift and coverage bra and said connector means. 
   
   
       5 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 4  wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said at least one strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said at least one strap in length. 
   
   
       6 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 1  wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap detachably connected to said uplift and coverage bra at predetermined locations thereon. 
   
   
       7 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 6  wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said at least one strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said at least one strap in length. 
   
   
       8 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 1  wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap extending from at least one of a respective breast cup and said connector means over a respective shoulder of such user to a predetermined location on at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and said connector means. 
   
   
       9 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 8  wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length. 
   
   
       10 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 1  wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap detachably connected to at least one of said uplift and coverage bra and said connector means at predetermined locations thereon. 
   
   
       11 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 10  wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length. 
   
   
       12 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 1  wherein said joining means is at least one of a front clasp, a back clasp, stitching, a hook and loop type fastening means and a hook and eye type fastening means. 
   
   
       13 . An uplift and coverage bra comprising;
 a. a pair of breast cups including at least two layers of at least one predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support a user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts such that clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing said uplift and coverage bra, said breast cups each having an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge;   b. a means, connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups and said inside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups, for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, said means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion;   c. a joining means connected to at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and said inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups, for joining at least one of said breast cups and said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and;   d. an upholding means connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent said upper portion of said breast cups at a predetermined location thereon, at least said upper edge of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user, and a connector means operably connected to at least one of a predetermined location on said upholding means and said uplift and coverage bra for assisting said breast cups in upholding such user's breasts and holding said breast cups in close proximity to such user's breasts in an uplifting manner so as to enable such user's breasts to resist the natural forces of gravity.   
   
   
       14 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said at least two layers formed as said breast cups includes an outer layer which creates a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will rest. 
   
   
       15 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said outer layer is manufactured from at least one of a smooth satin material, a lace material, a cotton material, and a nylon material. 
   
   
       16 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said at least two layers have a substantially identical size. 
   
   
       17 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said at least two layers are at least partially joined at predetermined locations of said breast cups. 
   
   
       18 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 17  wherein said at least two layers are at least partially joined by at least one of sewing, fusing, and gluing. 
   
   
       19 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said breast cups further include at least one of an under wire and padding for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction. 
   
   
       20 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein at least one of said at least two layers includes varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon. 
   
   
       21 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap operably connected at each respective end of said at least one strap to at least one of respective predetermined locations on said uplift and coverage bra and said connector means. 
   
   
       22 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 21  wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said at least one strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said strap in length. 
   
   
       23 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap detachably connected to said uplift and coverage bra at predetermined locations thereon. 
   
   
       24 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 23  wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said at least one strap in length. 
   
   
       25 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap extending from at least one of a respective breast cup and said connector means over a respective shoulder of such user to a predetermined location on at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and said connector means. 
   
   
       26 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 25  wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length. 
   
   
       27 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap detachably connected to at least one of said uplift and coverage bra and said connector means at predetermined locations thereon. 
   
   
       28 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 27  wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length. 
   
   
       29 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 13  wherein said joining means includes at least one of a front clasp, a back clasp, stitching, a hook and loop type fastening means and a hook and eye type fastening means. 
   
   
       30 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 14  wherein said upholding means includes at least one strap operably connected at each respective end of said at least one strap to respective predetermined locations on said uplift and coverage bra. 
   
   
       31 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 30  wherein said at least one strap further includes an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of said at least one strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said strap in length. 
   
   
       32 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 31  wherein said outer layer extends over at least a portion of said at least one strap for creating a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will lay. 
   
   
       33 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 14  wherein said upholding means includes a pair of straps, each respective strap extending from at least one of a respective breast cup and said connector means over a respective shoulder of such user to a predetermined location on at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user and said connector means. 
   
   
       34 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 33  wherein said straps each further include an adjustment means operably connected to at least one of each respective strap and said uplift and coverage bra for adjusting said straps in length. 
   
   
       35 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 34  wherein said outer layer extends over at least a portion of said straps for creating a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will lay. 
   
   
       36 . An uplift and coverage bra comprising;
 a. a pair of breast cups including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing said uplift and coverage bra, said breast cups each having an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge;   b. a means, connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups and said inside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups, for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, said means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion; and   c. a joining means connected to at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and said inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups, for joining at least one of said breast cups and said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user.   
   
   
       37 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 36  wherein said breast cups further include at least one of an under wire and padding for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction. 
   
   
       38 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 36  wherein said at least one layer has varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations. 
   
   
       39 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 36  wherein said joining means includes at least one of a front clasp, a back clasp, stitching, a hook and loop type fastening means and a hook and eye type fastening means. 
   
   
       40 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 36  wherein said uplift and coverage bra further includes an upholding means operably connected to said uplift and coverage bra at a predetermined location thereon. 
   
   
       41 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 40  wherein said upholding means includes a layer of rubber of a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width disposed on an said uplift and coverage bra at a predetermined location thereon. 
   
   
       42 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 41  wherein said predetermined location is at least one of said lower inside edge of said means for at least partially encircling a torso of a user and said lower inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups. 
   
   
       43 . An uplift and coverage bra comprising;
 a. a pair of breast cups including at least two layers of at least one first predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts such that such user's clothing will lay evenly across such user's breasts when such user is wearing said uplift and coverage bra, said breast cups each having an upper portion, a lower portion, an inside edge and an outside edge;   b. a means, connected to at least one of said outside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups and said inside edge generally adjacent to said lower portion of each of said breast cups, for at least partially encircling a torso of such user, said means having an upper edge and a lower edge and at least a rear portion; and   c. a joining means connected to at least one of said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user at a predetermined location thereon and said inside edges adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups, for joining at least one of said breast cups and said means for at least partially encircling such torso of such user.   
   
   
       44 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 43  wherein said at least two layers formed as said breast cups include an outer layer which creates a smooth surface upon which such user's clothing will rest. 
   
   
       45 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 44  wherein said outer layer is manufactured from at least one of a smooth satin material, a lace material, a cotton material, and a nylon material. 
   
   
       46 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 44  wherein said at least two layers have a substantially identical size. 
   
   
       47 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 44  wherein said at least two layers are at least partially joined at predetermined locations of said breast cups. 
   
   
       48 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 17  wherein said at least two layers are at least partially joined by at least one of sewing, fusing, and gluing. 
   
   
       49 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 44  wherein said breast cups further include at least one of an under wire and padding for enhancing cleavage and holding such user's breasts in an upward direction. 
   
   
       50 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 44  wherein at least one of said at least two layers includes varying degrees of thickness at predetermined locations thereon. 
   
   
       51 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 44  wherein said joining means includes at least one of a front clasp, a back clasp, stitching, a hook and loop type fastening means and a hook and eye type fastening means. 
   
   
       52 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 44  wherein said uplift and coverage bra further includes an upholding means operably connected to said uplift and coverage bra at a predetermined location thereon. 
   
   
       53 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 52  wherein said upholding means includes a layer of rubber of a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width disposed on an said uplift and coverage bra at a predetermined location thereon. 
   
   
       54 . An uplift and coverage bra according to  claim 53  wherein said predetermined location is at least one of a lower inside edge of said means for at least partially encircling a torso of a user and said inside edges generally adjacent to said lower portion of said breast cups. 
   
   
       55 . In combination with a predetermined garment, the improvement comprising a pair of breast cups including at least one layer of a first predetermined material formed as said breast cups such that said breast cups lift a user's breasts, enhance such user's cleavage, support such user's cleavage, hold such user's breasts in place, reduce unsightly bulges and produce a smooth line from said breast cups to such user's breasts.
