The invention concerns a holster ( 10 ) for a handgun ( 1 ), of the type comprising a pocket ( 11 ) for accommodating the gun ( 1 ) and including an opening ( 12 ) for inserting the gun ( 1 ) and means for locking the gun inside said pocket ( 11 ). The means for locking the gun comprise a support element ( 20 ) bearing a housing ( 23 ) for receiving the trigger guard of the gun ( 1 ) provided with a locking member moveable by a push button ( 30 ) from the upper part of the pocket ( 11 ) perpendicularly to the lower surface of the barrel of the gun ( 1 ), between an active position triggered in a catch arranged on the inner surface below the barrel to immobilize the gun ( 1 ) and a retracted position releasing said gun ( 1 ).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Holster for a hand weapon, such as, for example, a pistol or a revolver, comprising a butt, a trigger guard and a barrel which is provided at the lower face thereof with a series of transverse notches for fixing an accessory, the holster comprising a pocket for accommodating the weapon, comprising:
at the upper portion thereof, an opening for inserting the weapon, at least at one of the sides thereof, means for fixing to a receiving member carried by a user, and means for blocking the weapon in the pocket,
wherein the means for blocking the weapon comprise a support element which comprises a housing for receiving the trigger guard of the weapon, provided with a locking member which can be moved by a push-button from the upper portion of the pocket perpendicularly relative to the lower face of the barrel between an active position in which it is engaged in a notch in order to immobilise the weapon and a retracted position which releases the weapon.

2 . Holster according to claim 1 , wherein the pocket comprises, at the upper portion thereof, a tongue which can be moved between a first position located above the pocket in order to block the weapon and a second retracted position which releases this weapon.

3 . Holster according to claim 2 , wherein, in the second position, the tongue is tilted towards the front of the pocket.

4 . Holster according to claim 2 , wherein the tongue comprises a first end which is pivotably mounted on one side of the pocket and a second end which is provided with a member for snap-fitting to a lug fixed to the other side of the pocket.

5 . Holster according to claim 3 , wherein the tongue is associated with a resilient member for returning the tongue to the second position.

6 . Holster according to claim 1 , wherein the support element is formed by a body for fixing the pocket and is provided, at the upper portion thereof, with two vertical and parallel lugs which together provide the housing, the body and the lugs comprising means for guiding the push-button and the locking member.

7 . Holster according to claim 1 , wherein the push-button can be moved in a direction which is substantially parallel with the longitudinal axis of the barrel of the weapon placed in the pocket and comprises, on the one hand, a first plate which extends parallel with the lugs of the support element and a second plate which extends perpendicularly relative to the lugs and which is provided, at the lower portion thereof, with means for moving the locking member.

8 . Holster according to claim 7 , wherein the first plate comprises, at the upper portion thereof, a continuation which opens above the support element and which is provided with a button.

9 . Holster according to claim 7 , wherein the push-button can be moved between an upper rest position which releases the locking member in the active position thereof and a lower active position which retains the locking member in the retracted position thereof.

10 . Holster according to claim 9 , wherein the push-button is retained in the upper position thereof by means of a resilient member, such as, for example, a compression spring.

11 . Holster according to claim 1 , wherein the locking member is formed by a catch which comprises, at a first end, at least one member which is intended to co-operate with a notch of the barrel of the weapon in the active position of the catch and, at a second end, movement means which complement the movement means carried by the push-button.

12 . Holster according to claim 7 , wherein the means are formed by ramp-like members which have a complementary inclination and which are carried by the second plate of the push-button and the second end of the catch, respectively.

13 . Holster according to claim 1 , wherein the locking member is returned to the active position thereof by means of a resilient member, such as, for example, a compression spring.

14 . Holster according to claim 6 , wherein the guiding means are formed by grooves having a shape which complements the plates of the push-button and the catch.
