Closed cover for medicinal vial

Abstract

A medicinal vial closed cover, for the prevention of cross contamination by the collection of airborne foreign particles on the surface opening of the rubber port on a medicinal vial container, after the seal is once broken and vial not in use. Container of such type having an axially extended neck and an entrance opening head coaxial with the neck in which the opening is sealed by a rubber plug through which a hypodermic needle is inserted to extract solution into a syringe, then administered to patient. Closed cover may be composed of any suitable materials, such as plastic, synthetic resin, metal etc., which will be impervious to moisture, air and air particles. The cover having a flat closed circular head (top), connected to an indented—extended or short—hollow circular neck area (middle), that connects to an open hollow circular base with inner ridges at the base (bottom), adapted to be attached over the head of the medicinal vial container and latching to under the base of the medicinal vial head.

1 . A one piece cover for use on a medicinal vial, when vial not in use. Vial having an axially-extending neck and a sealed entrance opening (head) coaxial with the neck adapted for puncturing by a needle of a syringe to permit withdrawal of the contents of said vial. Said cover being formed of any suitable material such as plastic, synthetic resin, metal etc. and comprising:
 a closed non-pierce able circular top impervious to air and air particles adapted for easy grasping and proper handling of said vial, by user.   a hollow circular base adapted to fit over said medicinal vial head, with inner flanges which are designed to latch to under said medicinal vials' head to keep it in place.   a hollow narrow circular neck area which connects said closed top with said base; said neck made short or extended to assist in handling of said medicinal vial.   
   
   
       2 . A one piece cover as set forth in  claim 1  wherein cover is made disposable, wherein a new disposable closed cover is to be replaced each time, after each use of said medicinal vial. 
   
   
       3 . A one piece cover as set forth in  claim 1  wherein said cover is made of material that aids in preventing and stopping cross contamination of foreign microorganisms to said medicinal vials' surface opening. 
   
   
       4 . A one piece cover as set forth in  claim 3  wherein said cover has ring closure apparatus which is manufactured with said vial during sealing process, it can replace old seal, allowing the cover to serve as a seal and a cover that recovers between uses. 
   
   
       5 . A one piece cover as set forth in  claim 3  wherein said covers's ring closure apparatus serves as a seal, it allows for cover to fuse to ring closure apparatus by way of it's teeth projections, thus cover can replace old seal and serve as a cover that seals and a cover to keep vial covered between uses. 
   
   
       8 . A one piece cover as set forth in  claim 1  wherein said cover is available in various colors, to assist in naming and timely disposal of said vial. 
   
   
       9 . A one piece cover as set forth in  claim 1  wherein said cover is made in various sizes, to fit various size medicinal vials. 
   
   
       10 . A one piece cover as set forth in  claim 1  wherein said cover allows for user to label and date said cover, to assist in identifying and timely disposal of said medicinal vial. 
   
   
       11 . A one piece cover as set forth in  claim 1  wherein said cover is made and packaged to maintain sterility.
