Abstract

A dental implant is disclosed comprising an anchoring part for anchoring within a bone and comprising a mounting part for receiving a prosthetic build-up construction, wherein the anchoring part and the mounting part are configured integrally of a material comprising zirconia, wherein at least the anchoring part is treated at its outer surface at least partially by a subtractive, removing process, such as by sand blasting or is provided with a coating which facilitates an ossification.

         35 . A dental implant comprising:
 an anchoring part having a threaded section;   a mounting part for receiving a dental element;   the anchoring part and mounting part being an integral body and comprising a zirconium oxide material;   the anchoring part having a coated region only in an area to be recessed within the bone during implantation, the body of the coated region having a roughened surface, the roughened surface being coated with a thermal spray coating of titanium or titanium alloy that promotes ossification.   
     
     
         36 . The dental implant of  claim 35 , wherein the coating is of titanium. 
     
     
         37 . The dental implant of  claim 36 , wherein the coating has a thickness of 20 to 100 micrometers. 
     
     
         38 . The dental implant of  claim 35 , wherein the coating has a thickness of 20 to 100 micrometers. 
     
     
         39 . A method for producing the dental implant of  claim 35 , wherein the roughened surface is roughened by abrasive blasting or by etching, and the roughened surface is coated with titanium or titanium alloy by thermal spraying. 
     
     
         40 . The method of  claim 39 , wherein the coating is of titanium. 
     
     
         41 . The method  claim 40 , wherein the coating has a thickness of 20 to 100 micrometers. 
     
     
         42 . The method of  claim 39 , wherein the coating has a thickness of 20 to 100 micrometers.
