Abstract

A conductive polymer of polyaniline (PANi), tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) and a transferrin family member. The conductive polymer can be used in conductometric assays, including biosensor devices. One particular transferrin family member provided in the polymer is lactoferrin.

1 . A polymer which comprises an electrically conductive reaction product of an emeraldine polyaniline (PANi), tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) and a transferrin family member. 
   
   
       2 . The polymer of  claim 1 , wherein the transferrin family member is lactoferrin. 
   
   
       3 . The polymer of  claim 1 , wherein the polymer has magnetic properties.
