Abstract

A disposable, pull-on, absorbent wrist band is disclosed in the form of a tubular shaped band to be worn on the wrist and forearm to absorb liquid. The absorbent wrist band comprises an absorbent assembly; a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-permeable back sheet, and a liquid absorbent core disposed there between. The longitudinal edge is adapted to be ruptured for ease of disposal. Further comprising expandable and contractible cuff members circularly extending along the perimeter of wrist and arm holes.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A disposable, pull-on, absorbent wrist band, in the form of a tubular shaped structure, to be worn over the wrist and forearm, wherein each end of said absorbent wrist band includes absorbent, expandable and contractible elastic cuff members with a fluid absorbent assembly extending between said elastic cuff members.

2 . The fluid absorbent assembly as defined in claim 1 , comprises a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-permeable back sheet, and a liquid absorbent core disposed between said top sheet and said back sheet, respectively.

3 . The fluid absorbent assembly defined in claim 2 , wherein said liquid-permeable top sheet, liquid-permeable back sheet, and liquid absorbent core comprises materials that are preferably thin, preferably retentive absorption, non-bulky, and breathable.

4 . The absorbent wrist band as defined in claim 1 , further comprises a respective, longitudinal edge that is bonded together with a suitable adhesive used in an adequate manner, forming a joint adapted for rupture for ease of disposal of said absorbent wrist band, whereas the start points of rupture are located at either end of the longitudinal joint.

5 . The absorbent wrist band as defined in claim 1 , comprises elastic cuff members that circularly extend along the perimeter of said wrist and arm holes, said elastic cuff members are expandable and contractible, and have equal in size expandable and contractible cuff openings, so there is no discrepancy in the performance or view of said absorbent wrist band.

6 . The fluid absorbent assembly as defined in claim 2 , comprises a liquid-permeable top sheet adapted to face away from wearer's skin in use, a liquid-permeable back sheet adapted to face toward wearer's skin in use, and a liquid absorbent core disposed between said top sheet and said back sheet, whereas both sides of said absorbent wrist band are absorbent.

7 . The expandable and contractible elastic cuff members as defined in claim 5 , comprise a liquid absorbent material that directs moisture to the inner absorbent core.

8 . The elastic cuff members as defined in claim 5 are adhered to said absorbent wrist band along the edges of said wrist and arm holes and when contracted, form wrist and arm hole gathers, respectively.

9 . The embodiment of said absorbent wrist band should comprise of a type of adhesive used in an adequate manner for joining the liquid-permeable top sheet, liquid-permeable back sheet, liquid absorbent core, elastic cuff members, and longitudinal joint.

10 . The tubular shaped structure as defined in claim 1 is open at both ends for receiving a hand, wrist, and forearm of a wearer.
