PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPE FOR LCDs

Abstract

The invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, particularly for producing LCD displays, comprising two surfaces while also being provided with at least one support having two supporting surfaces and a pressure-sensitive layer on each of the two supporting surfaces. The invention is characterized in that at least one of the two surfaces of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has silvery reflective properties.

       16 . A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprising:
 (a) at least one carrier having two faces and colored black;   (b) a first pressure-sensitive adhesive covering a first of said two faces; and   (c) a second pressure-sensitive adhesive covering a second of said two faces;   
     wherein said first pressure-sensitive adhesive is either:
 (i) a silvery color; or 
 (ii) transparent and a silvery-colored reflective layer is positioned between said first pressure-sensitive adhesive and said at least one carrier. 
 
   
   
       17 . The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape according to  claim 16 , wherein said first pressure-sensitive adhesive is a silvery color. 
   
   
       18 . The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape according to  claim 16 , wherein said first pressure-sensitive adhesive is transparent and a silvery-colored reflective layer is positioned between said first pressure-sensitive adhesive and said at least one carrier. 
   
   
       19 . The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape according to  claim 16 , wherein said carrier is a film carrier. 
   
   
       20 . The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape according to  claim 19 , wherein the film carrier is colored black with a black pigment filling. 
   
   
       21 . The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape according to  claim 19 , wherein the film carrier is colored black with a black topcoat. 
   
   
       22 . The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape according to  claim 19 , wherein the film carrier comprises a PET film. 
   
   
       23 . The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape according to  claim 16 , wherein at least one of said first and second pressure-sensitive adhesives comprises a heat-activatable pressure-sensitive adhesive. 
   
   
       24 . A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprising:
 (a) at least one PET film carrier having two faces and colored black;   (b) a first pressure-sensitive adhesive covering a first of said two faces and colored a silvery color; and   (c) a second pressure-sensitive adhesive covering a second of said two faces.   
   
   
       25 . An LCD display comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive according to  claim 16 . 
   
   
       26 . An LCD display comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive according to  claim 24 . 
   
   
       27 . An electronic device comprising an LCD display according to  claim 25 .
