Machine for Weaving Seamless Garment, a Process Therefor and Seamless Garment Thus Obtained
Abstract
A seamless woven customised garment devoid of any stitching, inter-locking or joining the cut pieces by any means using any type of yarn, for men, women and children's wear, including designs, patterns and decorations/accessories is the subject matter of the present invention. Judiciously engaging, disengaging and crossing of one or more warp threads at varied levels weave the seamless garments. The invention also claims a weaving machine adaptable for engaging, disengaging and crossing of warps as per pre-designed patterns. It may be noted that in the present invention the warp threads start at warp beam and also ends at warp beam as against in the conventional weaving process warp thread ends at cloth beam.

18 . A machine for weaving a seamless garment comprising:
a mechanism to hold a plurality of warp beams, optionally a plurality of warp bobbins; a draw mechanism adapted to draw at least one of a plurality of warp threads in tension; a plurality of open-ended heddles for raising and lowering any number of said plurality of warp threads and adapted to manage one or more layers of said plurality of warp threads simultaneously; a plurality of circular reeds having hemispheres of different diameters adapted for crossing at least one warp thread and rotating 180 degrees to bring a plurality of filling threads after the plurality of reeds; a cloth beam which holds a woven garment and maintains a uniform tension between said garment and said plurality of warp beams; and a means for selectively returning said plurality of warp threads towards said plurality of warp beams.
19 . The machine of claim 18 , wherein said plurality of warp beams are stacked on a rack comprising slots for transfer of beams.
20 . The machine of claim 18 , wherein each of said plurality of warp bobbins are hooked on said warp beams such that said warp bobbins are able to be moved either horizontally or vertically for supplying desired warp thread.
21 . The machine of claim 18 , wherein said draw mechanism further comprises a pair of rollers for drawing at least one warp thread at a predetermined tension and speed.
22 . The machine of claim 18 , wherein said draw mechanism for guiding said warp threads to said open-ended heddles is a pair of plates or rods or reeds to be able to pass between two elements of the pair.
23 . The machine of claim 18 , wherein said open-ended heddles facilitate the raising or lowering said warp threads for forming one or more layers simultaneously to enable passing said filling thread through said layers.
24 . The machine of claim 18 , wherein said circular reeds further comprise circular plates with two hemispheres of different diameters, the hemisphere with a larger diameter capable of rotating 180 degrees and capable of moving for exchanging laterally to give flexibility of crossing of woven or unwoven warp threads.
25 . The machine of claim 18 , wherein said uniform tension is maintained by holding said woven garment in a pair of rollers moving in opposite directions, the upper roller being capable of moving side ways.
26 . The machine of claim 18 , wherein said means are warp bobbins capable of passing said warp thread and directing said warp thread towards said warp beam by either passing through said circular reeds and said open-ended heddles.
27 . The machine of claim 18 , comprising engaging one or more warp beams to provide a number of said warp bobbins to provide a number of said warp threads, engaging or disengaging or crossing over the warp yarns at predetermined places depending on the design and shape to be achieved, passing the warp yarn in a regulated controlled manner through the eyes of the heddles provided in the harness, reed and selectively returning back either in same manner or different manner ending at warp beam while holding the finished garment maintaining uniform desired tension with the warp beam and employing conventional wefts mechanism.
28 . A process for weaving a seamless garment comprising:
engaging one or more of said plurality of warp beams to provide one or more of said warp bobbins to provide one or more of said plurality of warp threads; engaging or disengaging or crossing over said one or more warp threads at predetermined places; passing said warp threads through eyes of heddles provided in a harness or reed; selectively returning back said warp threads in a manner ending at said warp beams while holding a finished garment; maintaining a uniform tension with said warp beams; and employing a wefts mechanism.
29 . The process of claim 28 , wherein a garment is woven in a flat, compressed, tubular manner in a folded style so as to become one selected from the group consisting of a shirt, blouse, and a pair of trousers.
30 . The process of claim 28 , wherein additional warp threads are provided at multi layers where a garment is to have a specific curve, extra appendages, ornamentation, or lining, and said warp threads are drawn under pressure and tension.
31 . The process of claim 28 , wherein said warp threads are exchanged by adjusting said heddles and said reeds in isolation or in groups.
32 . The process of claim 28 , wherein the step of returning of said warp threads is replaced by a step of interlocking said warp threads with the corresponding thread from another warp and the individual warp thread is to be engaged, disengaged, or diverted based a desired shape at end of said warp beam.
33 . A seamless garment comprising:
a fabric woven in a flat, compressed, tubular shape and in folded style.
34 . The garment in claim 33 , wherein the folded style is one selected from the group consisting of a shirt, a blouse, and a pair of trousers, wherein said fabric is devoid of stitches or interlocked or joined cut pieces.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
