Security system and network
Abstract
A security system and network used to detect and deter adverse events in an area to be secured. The security system may include an operator for supervising the area, and a wireless communication system for transceiving data indicative of detection events received from the secured area, wherein the operator can determine if a deter device is to be actuated based on the data. The security system may include an intelligence system for distinguishing between false alarms and actual alarm events, for also actuating a deter device, and for notifying operators. The security system and network may also include a plurality of areas to be secured, wherein each area is serviced by a different wireless hub within the wireless communication system.

A security system for monitoring an area and having a security detection system local to the monitoring area for detecting a security event, the security detection system including a visual detection device for detecting a security event and, responsive to detecting a security event, generating data indicative of the security event, a deter device, and an input/output communication device coupled with the security detection system and the deter device for transceiving data, comprising;
an operator for supervising the monitored area; and a wireless communication system for transceiving the generated data received from the input/output communication device to the operator, wherein the operator can determine if the deter device is to be actuated based on the generated data, and wherein the operator can be onsite to the monitored area and can be remote to the monitored area.

The security system of claim 1 wherein the operator is a human receiving the generated data via a device configured to communicate via the wireless communication system, and wherein the human determines whether the deter device should be actuated and whether the visual detection device should be controlled to pan the monitored area for detecting a further security event or for confirming a indicated security event.
3 . The security system of claim 1 wherein the operator further determines whether the deter device capable of two-way communication at the monitored area should be actuated based on an object recognition system detecting a human in the monitored area.

The security system of claim 1 wherein the operator is a computerized device configured to determine whether the deter device should be actuated based on an object recognition system, wherein the object recognition system can determine a first condition of an object and a second condition of an object via the visual detection device.

The security system of claim 4 , wherein the computerized device can determine whether the deter device should be actuated based on other detection devices indicating a security event, wherein the other detection devices includes a plurality of detection devices selected from a group comprising of at least one visual detection device, at least one motion detection device, at least one sound detection device, at least one glass breakage detection device, at least one smoke detection device, at least one temperature detection device, at least one pressure detection device, at least one tamper detection device all configured to detect security events and generate data indicative of the security event.
6 . The security system of claim 1 , wherein the operator further notifies other remote operators of a security event via the wireless communication system.

The security system of claim 6 , wherein the operator is a computing device configured to notify the other remote operators of security events, and wherein the other remote operators are humans assigned to monitor any security events detected in the monitored area, the humans receiving notification via communication devices.

The security system of claim 6 , wherein the operator is a computing device configured to notify the other remote operators of security events, and wherein the other remote operators are humans assigned to monitor any security events detected in the monitored area, the humans receiving notification via communication devices, and the human being able to actuate any of the deter devices or any of the detection devices, wherein the device includes at least one of a plurality of detection devices selected from a group comprising a two-way audio device, a strobe light, a siren, and a spray emitter, and the detection system includes a plurality of detection devices selected from a group comprising of at least one visual detection device, at least one motion detection device, at least one sound detection device, at least one glass breakage detection device, at least one smoke detection device, at least one temperature detection device, at least one pressure detection device, at least one tamper detection device all configured to detect security events and generate data indicative of the security event.
9 . The security system of claim 1 further including a hard wired connection to an onsite operator for supervising the monitored area.
10 . The security system of claim 1 , wherein the wireless communication system is an integrated WiFi, or the Bluetooth protocol system.
11 . The security system of claim 1 further comprising:
at least a second area to be monitored, the second area including a second security detection system local to the second monitoring area for detecting a security event, the second security detection system including a visual detection device for detecting a security event and, responsive to detecting a security event, generating data indicative of the security event, a second input/output communication device coupled to the second security detection system for transceiving the generated data, and a second deter device; an operator for supervising the monitored areas; and a wireless communication system for transceiving the generated data received from the input/output communication devices to the operator, wherein the operator can determine if the respective deter devices are to be actuated based on the respective generated data, and wherein the operator is remote to the monitored areas.
12 . The security system of claim 11 , wherein the wireless communication system includes a plurality of wireless hubs for transceiving respective generated data to the operator.
13 . The security system of claim 12 , wherein each of the wireless hubs also are used by the operator to notify other operators assigned to respective monitored areas of any security events.
14 . The security system of claim 13 , wherein the other operators are humans for monitoring any security events detected in their assigned monitored areas, the humans receiving notification via wireless communication devices.
15 . A portable security system for protection of property within a plurality of outdoor areas, the portable security system including a security event detection system for each of the plurality of outdoor areas and each security event detection system including a video surveillance device configured to provide images of surrounding objects and further configurable to detect security events sensed from other sensing devices, the portable security system also including deter devices for each of the plurality of outdoor areas, the deter devices including at least one of a plurality of deter devices selected from a group comprising a two-way audio device, a strobe light, a siren, and a spray emitter, and wherein the two-way audio device enables two-way conversation with anyone present in the monitored areas, and the portable security system also including an input/output communication device for each of the outdoor areas coupled with respective security detection systems and the deter devices for transceiving data, the detection devices generate data indicative of detection events which are transmitted to the input/output communication device, the security event detection systems and the deter devices are attached to a rigid mobile structure in the outdoor areas, the portable security system comprising:
an operator for supervising the plurality of outdoor areas; and a wireless communication system for transceiving the data received from and to the plurality of input/output communication devices to be received by the operator, wherein the operator can determine if a deter device is remote to the outdoor areas.

The portable security system of claim 15 further including a programmable determination device for receiving object images and sensed security event data and responsive thereto determining if a security event condition is present for initiating a data transfer of the security event condition and for initiating a deter measure, wherein the programmable determination device is capable of object condition recognition such that objects within the monitored outdoor area are first recorded in a first condition and a security event is initiated if any one of the objects are determined to be in a condition different from the first condition, wherein the conditions are provided via a further scan provided from the video surveillance device.
17 . The portable security system of claim 15 further including a data collection system in communication with the operator and configured to collect and store security event data.
18 . The portable security system of claim 15 wherein the wireless communication system includes a plurality of wireless hubs each for transceiving data from respective input/output devices to the operator.
19 . The portable security system of claim 18 , wherein each of the wireless hubs also are used by the operator to notify other operators assigned to respective outdoor areas of any detected security events.
