Abstract

The invention provides BASB029 polypeptides and polynucleotides encoding BASB029 polypeptides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques. Also provided are diagnostic, prophylactic and therapeutic uses.

       37 . An isolated polynucleotide selected from the group consisting of:
 (a) an isolated polynucleotide encoding SEQ ID NO: 4; and   (b) an isolated polynucleotide encoding an immunogenic fragment of at least 15 contiguous amino acids of SEQ ID NO: 4.   
   
   
       38 . The polynucleotide of  claim 37  wherein said polynucleotide is according to (a).

 (a) a polynucleotide having the sequence SEQ ID NO: 3; and   (b) a polynucleotide fragment of the polynucleotide having the sequence SEQ ID NO: 3, wherein said fragment encodes an immunogenic fragment of at least 15 contiguous amino acids of a polypeptide having the amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 4.
