Abstract

A slot machine game with a bonus round wherein a player tries to guess an element set. When the player does not guess the element set correctly, the player is then provided with a hint as to the correct element set, and the slot game can continue. When the player does correctly guess the element set, then awarding an award to the player and then selecting new random elements.

A method of playing a slot game, the method comprising: automatically selecting an element set from a plurality of elements; triggering a bonus round; allowing a player to select a chosen set from displayed elements; if the chosen set matches the element set, displaying that the player has won and awarding a respective completion prize; and if the chosen set does not match the element set, then allowing the player to continue to play the slot game without changing the element set. 
   
   
       2 . A method as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising: displaying how many elements in the chosen set match the element set. 
   
   
       3 . A method as recited in  claim 2 , wherein if the chosen set does not match the element set, then the player is presented with a hint at what the element set is.

       5 . A method as recited in  claim 2 , wherein the element set comprises two elements and the chosen set comprises two elements. 
   
   
       6 . A method as recited in  claim 2 , further comprising: when the chosen set of elements does not match the element set, then determining and awarding a consolation prize selected from a list of consolation prizes. 
   
   
       7 . A method as recited in  claim 6 , wherein the determining determines the consolation prize based on a probability associated with receiving the consolation prize. 
   
   
       8 . A method as recited in  claim 2 , wherein the awarding a respective completion prize determines the completion prize using a list of completion prizes. 
   
   
       9 . A method as recited in  claim 8 , wherein the awarding determines the completion prize based on a probability associated with the completion prize.
